OP, unless a bought char your time in eve should have you know its hitting summer slump now. Summer is usually slow. Sure it get the kiddies on school breaks for a little boost in some venues but the rank and file of the "blob" at this point also know its summer time (edit: for one hemisphere anyway...the one with more people in eve as well). Vacations, sun and out and shining to just get out in the day, you know, the whole many people like to get out once in while and summer an ideal time for it really.

Me...I can appreciate a nice model in a bikini pic on the internet. I find it better in rl like last week taking my boy to the beaches just opened by where I live. The beach gods favored me and some nice eye candy setting up near to where me and my son were at. Even better the wife was off for a day with her friends elsewhere, no evil eyes for the occasional glance overs lol. Old and married with kids, you get your thrills when you can lol

In short the blob doesn't do much in the summer historically. Not even close to 100% accountability like the winter months where players more captive (cold and snowy....may as well stay home lol).

That and ccp is well aware of the problems if they kept this quiet. With all the blob reps on CSM....it would have an unprecedented amount of removals since we would assume most would violate their NDA's In some way lol. CSM would see this hidden stuff on their trip to CCP or in stuff CCP gives them off the record to show them the inner stuff of CCP they sometimes do. This stuff I'd see NDA violation fast. As its that much a change they could not keep it quiet for long.

Umm...alliance bossman...don't do that. I can't say why...but don't do it. Fun thing with NDA's you can violate them not even saying what you aren't supposed to say. The subtle hint to not do something but no details as to why...in the grey area of NDA can be considered just as bad really. Blob doing a complete paradigm shift and one of tis members on the CSM, it be looking too coincidental.

I certainly would not call it dead EVE. Roll However, I also believe that shorter notice on upcoming changes would be more beneficial. There's really new information, activities and assets to explore on day 1 after the patch and you have to develop new strategies live while you play, and cannot do so weeks or months in advance. Would lead to more chaos, more mistakes, more curiousity (due to press coverage of unavoidable screw ups) and more grand successes, as well as more intensity and focus on evaluating and understanding the changes in a shorter time frame.

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

Are you sure? Your idea senor might need some tuning...

As for the OP. No.

This "game" needs a kick in the undies after 6years of unfettered proliferation (blues, so many blues!)

The game needs a sov overhaul and soon after this rewrite, it will need another iteration to calibrate.

Can't wait to hear / read about some pasty skinned kid who spent three months theory crafting optimal ways to abuse the new proposed system, only for fozziesov 1.1 to flip all assertions on their heads a week later.

Next thing for you to start thinking about "standings". Free things are bad. Imagine if ammo was free and infinite. There's a level of richness lost by keeping things free.

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

I would rather say you play another game to avoid the risk of down voting a post made by your Emperor, his majesty Mittandi. I heard you are blacklisted if you mention something negative about him.

welp, might as well give up on communication with player base as now I am seeing complaints that there is such a thing as too soon. The only time an announcement is too soon is if it fails to ever arrive.

sheesh

The CSM fights for faster, sooner, more and then this dipstick checks his oil and finds that it is vinegar.

No. I think I will keep doing what I have been doing and let the ostrich find a nice patch of sand to stick his head into because IF he does not want to know about what is coming he can ignore the forums and announcements and let the surprises just roll on in.

The single largest change that has happened to this game since I started playing, congratulations to CCP for the early announcement allowing them to handle player feedback and adjust the plan BEFORE it goes live.

OP do you seriously want to take two steps back when we have finally taken a step forward on this issue?

Better get these things out there early where they can be examined, critiqued and the implications considered and then have reasoned, sensible (well some of it) feedback given rather than have a fait accompli delivered out of the blue resulting in riots in Jita and mass unsubs in protest.

Not supported.

Why does CCP announce big changes well ahead of time? Two words: freighter rigs.

Thanks to CCP releasing their plans in advance, the players were allowed to give their input and prevent this travesty.

And some bastards heavily invested into hull rigs.

I still have a laugh when I think about it.

Given that only bowheads benefit from these they will never sell.

I think we were told about fozzi-sov about 3 months in advance right? 6??... Eve has pretty much been dead these 3 months.

Everywhere i look people are on break from eve "waiting for fozzi-sov to land".

People are playing other games "waiting for fozzi-sov to land"

Personally im not active, cause why would i commit to anything when im "waiting for fozzi-sov to land"

I evac my assets from 0.0. Nothing happens... no gate camps... nothing... why? people are "waiting for fozzi-sov to land".

So... this might sound like a strange proposal, but i think 3 months is too much dead-time. No one wants to commit to anything, when they know the whole universe is going to be turned upside down in the future. Im all for the changes but, i just think its too long to just go about doing nothing.

My proposal, however wierd and strange, is that CCP should not let us know so far in advance what they intent to do. I think maybe a month or 14 days is enough to get settled. The pay-off from knowing what is gonna happen in 3-6 months is simply too high... because eve is so dead these days.

Let me know what you think guys, should CCP shorten the "warning" when they plan something big in the future?
I think its a serious issue, its bad for business. We all want EVE to succeed, but so many people havent got anyhting to do.

You need to leave nullsec if you think EVE is dead. Ive been having plenty of fun shooting people in J-Space. Wormhole space is best space.

It sounds like OP is one of those guys who would rather be spoon feed content oppose to creating it himself. A basic F1 monkey. There is always something to do in the game.
