Out of Pod Experience

My way of getting global news is to use local sources from different countries and read directly from them. I usually go for multiple sources in order to get the most of the picture about a subject, since media can be biased (or, how they like to call it "aligned to a certain point of view").

In my search for news sources, I found out I have limited knowledge of Australian media and limited ways of getting the news from Europe. For example, I can only read a very limited amount of articles on Sydney Morning Herald per month without buying a subscription. So, if any Ausie have a recommendation for a good Australian news source app available on Android, please share Classic web sites are also welcome, but I primarily read news on my phone.

So far, I've been using The Guardian's Australian edition app, since it's one of my UK news sources as well, but I feel it's not enough.

Oh, and I don't really care about the political orientation of the media, since I'm comfortable at reading left, center and right wing oriented ones as long as they are doing their best to present a news story from their point of view. Variety of sources works the best for me
