Underwhelming Minmatar ship skins.

Am I the only one who thinks that the Minmatar skins are really boring compared to those from other factions. They are little more than rust removal.

When you create a game and give one race rust buckets to fly it pretty much tells your player base just how much you care for said race.

Agreed we need much better and hopfully brighter skins. Minmatar space is so dark you can't tell the difference between most skins and the base appearances.

Oh and no more nefantar skins, so ugly. ( yes I see the irony of bashing nefantar skins while asking for brighter skins but bright and good looking is what I want).

Yawn,  I'm right as usual. The predictability kinda gets boring really.

here I thought the minny skins were just a slightly different shade of rust. IMO in general the skins just aren't very good. also for how often I am in any one ship the value of a skin is just not there...

Thank goodness for someone posting this. The Minmatar ship skins are awful. CCP should fire whoever designed them.

It's called Camoflage ;)

I personally like the nefantar skins. I recently also got the sebiestor talwar skin, for Obvious reasons.. now I just need a Talwar to shoot people in the face with.

Does railgun ammunition come in Hollow Point?

Nefantar is gorgeous, especially the new more golden version currently on singularity.
Sebiestor is dull, it's like CC without highlights. Justice and Krusual are just awful.

Don't know... I really like the Nefantar ones, especially Stabber.

Krusual are a too subtle change from the original rusty skin, since it looks like polished copper.. well at least on my primary monitor. On the old secondary SyncMaster, Krusual skins look just as rusty as the original ones Lol

Hard to change the look of a rust-bucket race. I'd like to see some changes to make some of the minmatar ships viable before worrying out Eve-Barbie.

All the skins are inferior compared to their base variants. But who cares, you never see your ship in this game anyway.

CCP is working on more Minny and Caldari SKINS.

Give them time, and im sure they will come out with nicer options.



Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

A MMO is a type of video game. Without stimulating 2D/3D motion graphics, you are playing a board game. It is the natural progression, that when visual media technology progresses, that the visual media progress as well.

Rusty and dirty shadowed green colors are simply dissolved on the brown base color of matari ships. It's crap for sure.
The nefantar ones is fine but all the rest better to rework.

Let me first qualify what I'm about to say by stating that I've not opened the NES and spent no time in the market looking at skins. I have no interest in them except for the ones I received in the update.

That said, I imagine that the Minmatar skins are in line with the basic expectation of what a Minmatar ship has always been. Dingy dull and dirty. A shiny Minmatar ship would be completely out of place in New Eden. I think most realize this.

If you want shiny, cross train.

Given that Minmatar were at the very top of the nerf/buff wave for like five straight years and have almost never been at the bottom (even when other races occasionally edged them out), that's an interesting thing to say.

For a long time, step one of frigate PvP was "train a rifter", period, end of story until you had T2 ships.

Short version: they care about Minmatar plenty. They keep the aesthetic because a lot of people like it and it's distinctive.

Maybe for the Minmatar ships, instead of offering skins. They should call it hull refurbishing.

I like the Sebiestor skins but I almost never fly the ships they are used on. If I could have a Sebiestor skin on a Panther, that would be nice.
