Both beta and old-school maps show up as very dark and un-usable

I just recently returned to eve online and I decided to go try out all of the new exploration stuff there is to do. The new beta map is gorgeous and works flawlessly for me, I will admit it is rather hard to pinpoint locations with it but regardless it stopped working when I launched probes. Everything went black and I was un-able to see where my probes were, their radius, and I was unable to see the indicator used to move them. I reverted back to the old map and I have the same issue. Has anyone had this problem? I am not sure how to fix it, I tried running it in fullscreen/windowed and at different graphics settings, this is the only visual issue I have run into since my return.

Thanks for your time.

Here is an image of what I am trying to say, I know my wording is terrible but I have no idea how to explain this, if you look you can barely make out the indicator for the probes, I could be missing something important but I cannot fix this issue. Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated.
