Yea, not streaming the 1st weekend doesn't make any sense at all.

The reason I was mentioning this in my comment is that I, like many other players, are in an alliance that isn't necessarily willing to participate. My corporation (and even more my alliance) has very good solo PVPer but we don't do fleets. And switching alliance in a week just for the AT is almost mission impossible.

Also, yes, AT happens every year, but this time they got more strict on membership movements. What was hurting CCP for not telling the players 2 months ahead that this time it would be definitive as of XXX of xxxx month so that people can get prepared? Except if you are damn lazy to inform the community, nothing...

This year we're actually much less strict about membership requirements than in the last two years.

In general, the AT is intended as a venue for players to represent their own alliances on the big stage, rather than funnel into special temporary alliances just to leave again. I encourage you to see if your alliance would like to put together a team and enter into the random draw. The AT is a very small gang format, and good solo pilots are much more important than fleet experience.

Yeah, I have to agree here, I very much want to watch all of it, not just a "best of"

I know the finals have more views, and show a higher number of exciting fights, but I find that the qualifiers have a lot of good surprises as well, and every year I look forward to watching the qualifiers as much as the rest of the tournament.


Not seeing the qualifiers will make me feel like I missed the beginning, similar to jumping into a movie after missing the first 40 minutes of it.
I mean, even a simple movie with a predictable plot, like many action movies, it's very easy to figure out who's who, and who you should root for, but still,
It's just so tempting to go, "meh, I'll watch it later, I already missed the start"
And to be honest, I don't actually ever get to watching most of those movies later.
