Question about Faction Police NPC's around stargates in highsec

I know that they will attack if you have negative standings for that faction and they can warp scramble, Web, neut and damp your ship. But my question is not related to faction warfare mechanics. Here's the scenario: what if someone or a group of players were to do the unthinkable, like a person lost a expensive ship to faction police npc's and would like to have a little payback.

I can feel the heat flowing through my veins Twisted

Now before I send my soul to the Eve Online Devil, or worse Drifters, lol. I need some feedback on these Faction Police NPC's in this current patch and how to deal with them without the interference from CONCORD.

Why? I know there's outdated videos on this issue but would like a updated version of this issue. Because I would like to inform any new player looking at this post in the future. I am just experimenting with eve mechanics.

Last time I shot them there was no concord interaction but they will get backup and it will get nasty pretty soon.
Maybe concord was just slow in my case or I died before they could arrive but not sure if they will come at all. I mean, you´re shooting npc´s without AoE weapons. :D

Once i've played with it... Something about year ago. Fitted tanky Dominix with drones, added logistics alt and started to kill faction NPCs. Spend 20 or 30 minutes doing that.... They kept coming.

I built a Devoter that could tank them in the hope of farming tags off of them. (They don't neut in 0.5 systems and so can be comfortably permanently active tanked).

Unfortunalely no matter how many I killed, they didn't drop anything at all. They just keep coming as and when you kill them. It made for an amusing collection of wrecks at the undock though.
