Corp just got robbed, only stuff that survived was what was in my PHA.

That's more management than anything (that and screening).

The concept of them were sound up until the unanchoring restrictions and the no way of removing stuff out of it).

I guess you are one of the success stories of the thing.

Yaay!!!!

I rather like them and wish we had a ship hanger equivalent. When it is moving time I just unanchor the personal hanger. No malice, no theft, no moving stuff of the long inactive, just the simple fact that it was time to move and moved. Stuff was most likely lost but nobody was unhappy. In the meantime my pilots have a place to put stuff that is safe even from me which is fantastic as it is the best that anyone could ever offer. Yes I suppose I could drop the shield and shoot the thing but that is extraordinary enough that it wont likely be an issue for anyone.

My main problem with them is that you can't deal with assets from afk members. CEO or directors should be able to take stuff out. So instead we have had to shoot them in the past to be able to take a POS down. Not sure if that mechanic changed.

That changed sometime back. You can unanchor a personal hanger. If you do that everything in it is lost. Yes, that does mean inactive members stuff is lost. On the flip side you do not have the responsibility to move inactive members stuff or explain where it went and that is pretty nice. Why not anchor both a CHA and a pesonal hanger so it is the individual pilots choice on how to store their goods?

That is the simplicity which appeals to me, no one can touch a pilots assets so they are truly responsible for them. Put a clause out there that states don't go inactive and if you do make arrangements to move your gear.

Is the limited storage an issue?

Maybe my previous reply was a bit short. :-)

If anything about access rights is not broken it is normal corporate hangar arrays. Using "these other things" just makes stuff complicated, e.g. not enough volume, can't access stuff with alts, stuff gets lost if you move or get evicted...

Also SMAs is were the ISK is. I wish SMAs were as flexible as the normal hangars. That would solve most of the issues with access rights and corp theft.

Well yes. OFC it is. The fact the M3 limitations are so miniscule makes many ldrs in wspace wonder if the trust/lack of same issue is precisely why fozzie and his team made them so small in the first place.

The very same people Seagull espoused making things easier for struggle with CHA/SMA/Divisional access issues every day and this hangar array was proposed as a solution when it clearly is anything but.

Something for our erstwhile CSMers to fix, or explain why they won't I hope. In time.
