Disclosure: Bought 45 units of Coreli A-Type 1MN MWD at 20.5 mil ISK avg.

The Upgraded 1MN and Experimental 10MN could potentially be underpriced, especially when viewed against the Tech II versions, but the uncertainty surrounding the one new frigate MWD meta module, and two new cruiser ones, along with the mountains of supply in both cases warrants a cautions approach. Smile

I closed an additional 18% of my total position.

The ceiling on the Coreli and Gistiis A-Type appears to be 40 and 65 mil respectively - http://i.imgur.com/SqgjRZo.png At least in a situation where all MWDs provided the same base speed boost amount.

Such price was at the time of balanced supply/demand conditions, supply since then has ballooned for most Deadspace ships & modules - http://i.imgur.com/ENeK51a.png

The Federation Navy 1MN MWD is selling at 89 mil, with Shadow Serpentis @ 25 before the news - they both will (probably) have identical stats in the end, and it will be interesting to see where that puts the Deadspace ones, though a 18% base difference is somewhat negligible.

Faction/Deadspace MWDs used to be 625% vs 550% for T2. Blink

You bought the wrong stuff and to less :D but thx for making me check the market.

Buy in with ~30b over Jita, Amarr, Dodi, Hek on the 10MN MWD, Corelums mostly, add some hundreds 1MN Gistii A+B and lots of 1MN Coreli C.

Dodi was a goldmine for Corelums

The new good ones will be:
Corelum A,B,C-Type 50MN Microwarpdrive, you can't beat 30 grid on that thing.
Gistii A,B,C-Type 5MN Microwarpdrive but mostly the A-Type because all stats are equal
Coreli A and C-Type 5MN Microwarpdrive but mostly the C-Type because less CPU needed

If you're dreaming of 450 mil p/u cruiser MWDs as a result of these changes, then sold to you. Smile

The thing is Fed Navy and Shadow Serpentis will the best Faction MWD/AB due to expansive tags, prices won't get down soon.
So take them as benchmark for bottom prices right now. Future prices due to demand will rise.

That is a very poor benchmark - a Rattlesnake costs less than a Scorpion Navy Issue, while performing a lot better.

It is not so much about speed, it is the lower grid usage and the lower cap penalty that makes them worth more.
Right now your are good to go with a Meta 4 on -19% cap penalty and lower grid. After the changes you have to choose, lower grid OR lower cap you can't have both anymore. T2 is even worse, as i said the real good ones will be Fed Navy, Shadow Serpentis and Deadspace Corelum.

Biggest effect will be that you can't fit a no brainer MWD anymore. If you want the performance from the "10MN Experimental" you have to fit Faction or Deadspace.
The Deadspace mods were underpriced and i have no idea where exactly these mods will land.

But they will still remain as the "no-brainers" due to T2 cost, powergrid & the measly 1% difference. Smile

Heck, this new 5/50MN Quad LiF Restrained Microwarpdrive will require 2/15 PG less, 5/20 GJ less activation cost, have the same capacitor penalty and 10% lower signature bloom. Smile

I assume there was a typo in the meta 8 MWD category, aka fed navy/shadow serp/republic fleet/domination

given the market was pretty much taken over before I even heard the news plus I expect some adjustments to come, I missed out on this one.

Check prices and volume for Corelum A,B,C-Type 50MN Microwarpdrive, going up a lot
Check prices and volume Fed Navy, Shadow Serpentis 50MN Microwarpdrive, additional 10MN and 100MN AB, going up a lot
5MN stuff is lagging behind, big stockpiles or i underestimated the possibly supply.

Started to cash out on Corelum B and some on C, holding everything else.

I know, stockpiled a little more on C-Types too. A-Types volume is marginal. B-Types volume is ok considering i bought them @92 avrg. p/u i can't complain at all.
It is interesting to see how Navy Fed and Shadow Serpentis prices adapting. Still no idea where the new equilibrium will be but if the ~100% rising on Corelum B-Types is any indication it will be a fun ride.,

The LP MWDs have a floor of the fixed LP store price - for the Federation Navy 5MN one unit module it is over 310 mil in tags, 10 mil ISK fee & 27k LP. That's right. Smile

The 5-run BPC is even more in tags plus 72k LP/29 mil fixed.

5MN faction is tricky, as the Deadspace supply for 5MN is what matters right now. Midterm it doesn't seem to be profitable to build FR MWD/AB faction stuff.

Bigger sized MWD/AB on the other hand,

~3k per LP is quite nice. It will depend a lot on tag prices though but atleast for 10MM and 50MN the tag supply is huge (Caldari Navy Commodore Insignia I and II)

Btw. if you calc the costs of faction stuff always use the 5x run BPC as basis. 5x run BPC will always be more profitable.
E.g.:
Single 5MN -12747.38 ISK/LP @79,999,998 sell price
5x Run BPC 5MN -10161.65 ISK/LP @79,999,998 sell price

Single 10MN 1095.51 ISK/LP @35,999,990 sell price
5x Run BPC 10MN 3075.21 ISK/LP @35,999,990 sell price
