Reducing broker's fee's: Does 'Connections' have an effect?

As the subject says, I'm wondering if increasing your personal standing with an npc station's faction will reduce broker's fees. For example, the skill Broker Relations, says "This [tax] can be further influenced by the player's standing towards the owner of the station where the order is entered."

So if I train connections and run missions for say the Caldari Navy, will I get reduced fees?

No, the broker fees are calculated from your base standing, not your modified standing.
