Anyone have a good program for running API's that you're given, I have searched and searched but have yet to come up with something adequate.

What do you mean by checking? There are many tools out there that will query the API and do some fancy stuff like character planning. If you're on windows try EveHQ or EveMon.

If you just like to do your own requests get hold of curl or use the hackbar firefox plugin to make http requests.

Odyssey: Repacking in POS hangars for modules +1,  but please for other stuff too, especially containers. Make containers openable in POS hangars.
