Ishtar ftw. Even after its nerf, dps and application is superb, zero ammo costs, selectable damage, and never a wasted train.

I see what's going on. . .

There's talk of doing L3 missions fast. There are lots of ships that can do them fast.

There's talk of doing L3 missions very fast. There are also lots of ship that can do them very fast.

There's talk of just blitzing L3s, using any ship just to do what is required to get the mission done.

Then there is blitzing with the Mach or the Tengu, where you are going like a bat out of hell with your hair on fire. Where travel time is about 60 sec round trip, and you spend anywhere from 24 sec to 2min in missions just taking out what is required for the blitz. For the comparison between the Mach and the Tengu, seconds mattered. But that was between me and Stoic.

Of course if you want to have fun try doing them in a assault frigate, except in the easily blitzed missions it won't be fast, but it is a blast, and if you practice doing it with entirely manual flying it will get you some practice piloting for PvP. I sometimes to do it to test the handling and tracking of newly cooked up fits.

Cheap solution:
Any missile based T1 battleship.
just equip it with rapid heavies and AB/MJD combo

Not cheap solution:
Gila or Ishtar, a T3 Cruiser or Mach

is it really so hard to not post unquestioned replies again and again in a thread, where the questions was solved pages before? Roll

Unbelievable.

BTW: Nobody listed Skiff so far. WTF. I bet you can do Level 3 in it as well. Not, blitz, but 90% here don't care about that anyway, so first posting Skiff. Twisted

Cya again in this thread in 3-4 days :)

not finished yet. My current fit is armor, warpcorestab, hornet EC-300 and has a cloak. I am trying to figure out how that may be argueable to help for blitzing level 3 missions. I am sure I can find an explaination, even if it might just be "cheap". But when I find it, I post it. Shocked

OP asked for advice on blitzing
blitzing means killing certain ships fast
RHML also does this very well in L3 missions

also the 'best' fit ??

this is eve
best is variable and contradictory

there is "no fit to make all_the_things bleed from their anus" in this game

all AF, T2 destroeyers, T3d - fast, cheaper than BC, enough dps
HIC, HAC, Tier 3 BC with middle/large guns - huge dps, tank.

I agree.

Maybe I can make a few corrections.

Blitzing missions is just doing what is required to complete the mission. The requirements can be found in each mission report.

If I may speak for Stoic, what he wanted to do was to see how much isk could be made per hour in blitzing L3s with a Mach. From his detailed spread sheet he was making about 90+M per hour. But he just wasn't blitzing the missions, he was trying to complete each mission as fast as he could, and then go on to the next mission, and the next, etc.

In doing this he used a stop watch. He would start his timer when he clicked "undocked", and stopped the timer after he clicked on "mission complete" with his agent. He kept track of his travel time and his mission time. It is not easy to keep up this hectic pace.

Using drones or missiles take too much time for this type of blitzing.

Maybe I should give it a new name like "Turbo-Blitzing", or "Superfast-blitzing", to distinguish it from regular blitzing.

For example, here are some comparisons between Stoic's Mach, and Kirst's Tengu:

Damsel in Distress:

Mach's travel time: 1m29s
Mach's mission time: 20s
Mach's total time: 1m49s

Tengu's travel time: 1m08s,
Tengu's mission time: 18s
Tengu's total time: 1m26s

Duo of Death:

Mach's travel time: 1m33s
Mach's mission time: 1m08s
Mach's total time: 2m41s

Tengu's travel time: 1m08s
Tengu's mission time: 1m04s
Tengu's total time: 2m 12s

So, that's what I'm talking about when I blitz L3s.

Don't be shy, step right up, try your luck, see if you can beat the Mach, just follow the rules. You will learn very quickly what will work, and what won't, at your attempt to Turbo-Blitz L3s. (yep, a little prodding, and a little sarcasm.) You need to be fast, very fast, agile, and be able to knock out things very quickly.

So try your T2 Destroyers, and your T3 BCs, that HIC, or that Hack. Oh, sure you can blitz the missions, but you can't do them like the Tengu or the Mach. (didn't mean to make it rhyme)

Reading is hard sometimes. As soon as some1 saw "mission blitzing" they start bringing up what they used to have. I'm sure 95% of mission runner don't even bother to do a timewatch. This thread was about to find the best blitzers which we did.

I do my preparation to test Cynabal...
