Drifters harvest corpses, the thought atm is they are using them to acquire body parts for themselves or some other entity. By giving them corpses he is aiding the Drifters and allowing them to be more populous or achieve their end goal of awakening w/e it is they need them for.

That being said...I wouldn't say he is helping destroy New Eden. Sleepers/Drifters are the best thing to happen NPC wise since Sansha Incursions started Warp Disrupting folks to slow to get off gates. I can only hope they become even more aggressive. The "story" seems to be making CONCORD look really bad too, so hopefully CONCORD goes to war with drifters and gets stomped. Then HS can finally become like the rest of EVE and not some nancy filled play pen.
