Who should I wardec?

Hello everyone!

Taking Vimsy's advise at heart ...
... "Try it for yourself" ...
... I thought I could actually do that again ...
... but then tripped over the obvious question.

Who to wardec?

Most corps aren't worth it, because they don't fight.

I met a few CEOs who would be willing to make their members fight ...
... but these people are rare. (yeah I talked to CEOs, all friendly,
simply to make people aware of their possibilities and the fun)

In the end though that's not really the point!
It was fun dieing in a tripplerepmyrm to people
who had nothing but good spirit, but ...
Too artificial!

I assume many of you either wardec badmouths (Hi Kane!)
and the rest works on a contract basis.

That's okay, but I can't warm myself for that either.

To cover it all, I even had successes negotiating parties
who want to avoid wardecs. Easy money and showed that
there are many badmouths running around.
(maybe alts of yours to artificially create demand? certainly a way!)

Not quite the point preventing fights.

So to cut this long post ... who is there to dec?
Who is worth it?

I'm a one girl show, waiting to maybe get into one of the bigger groups ...
... not actually counting on it of course ...
... and the most fun targets are kind of expensive for a hobby:

It's 320+ Million ISK a week to wardec RedFed ...
... didn't bother to check for EVEUNI.

I don't even know any bigger entities.

And yeah going for big ones is way more fun in my eyes.
Lots of experience to gather and mistakes to learn from.

My balls are huge ...
... I just wear them on my chest. :p

So what do the experienced people think?

That ringing in your ears you're experiencing right now is the last gasping breathe of a dying inner ear as it got thoroughly PULVERISED by the point roaring over your head at supersonic speeds. - Tippia

I'm assuming you have 1 person in corp. for whT you're doing, I would keep the corp small.

Sit at Jita gate and read corp profiles to find a good fit.

I always liked Indy/mission corps that listed pvp in the corp bio. They'll almost always have someone "in charge of pvp" which means you'll get a fight at least once if you aren't overwhelmingly scary.

I'd advise to make sure targets have at least 15 members, preferably 25 or more.

Always be polite and respectful and, if they'll listen, teach them something to make them better after you club them.

That's my thoughts. I used to love casual war decs.

why bother with all the red tape and let your targets know you are actively hunting them. for the same price as a wardec you can buy a nice supply of t1 fit thrashers and declare war on the worst players in eve, afk pods and shuttles.

Go to Apanake, Osmon and I think its spelt lanngissi.

Sit on the SOE undock and watch all those shinny blingy ships undock. If they have a corp over a certain number in your head dec them.

If you have about 10 of them decd which is about 500 mill im sure you will get your isk back after the first one gets blapped.

ooooh da girl gotta kill some bling.

I have a hang over btw... Mojito rock

Big smile

Other option dont dec anyone and ensure you have kr available in your overview active. There are some idiots about that like flying blingy ships with 15 mill killrights on them

On the third day after your birth myself and my sister's will come to you and decide your fate.

Done that already with this char ...
... done that already as Solstice Project destroying over 100 billion ...
... over 800 pods, was pretty famous and innovated suicide ganking.

Even the way I did it without relying on alts at some point ...
... it's not only boring ...
... but the GCC burns me out.

It's unlikely I will go that route again ...
... especially because in the months I did what I did ...
... only ever one actually wasn't shy of the efforts.

...

Thanks Modadder. Seems good advise.
Why of all things the Jita gate though?
I feel like "because it has the most traffic" doesn't seem like the answer to the question.

I'm not looking for easy targets. Corps with dedicated PvP wings ...
... that's a hint I could look for. And I'm always treating my opposite as it behaves towards me.

Good advise I guess ... but I know these systems.

I remember a particular moron who only ever talked crap ...
... and then chestbeat about zerodamage kills he whored on.

SOE systems... wouldn't that mean mostly carebears anyway?
That's not particularly interesting.

And sorry if I sound demotivated, it's not really a good day today.

Whatever I reply, I am giving everything a thought later on again.

Each and everyone has an angle in which they play EvE.

Each corp and alliance are different in various ways.

If we take some of the corps or alliances in the C&P channel they are all different however they all congregate in reading these forums. We take in advise and help others as well as flame bursting there EvE bubble.

Finding the right niche for yourself is hard as you can get into one there it can be stripped away or you get bored beyond belief.

Changing your style because your bored can be extremly frustrating as you have always been in that situation.

I would sit back and have some popcorn and a mojito in a trade hub and listen and watch. there maybe somthing that happens that sparks you back into life and then you have your angle again.

Just be you and try not to be somebody your not or ever will be.

Hm.

Most of my game in recent months has been talking.
Talk, talk, talk, talk. Listen. Respond. Listen. Respond.
Listen. Analyse. Respond. Manipulate. Talk. Talk. Talk.

It's great advise!
Opportunities come to those who watch out for them!

But .......

Thinking about sitting there watching people talk ...
... makes me wanna throw that Mojito at my screen.

lol ... that made me laugh. xD

Look for corps with something to lose. Players can dock up and avoid wardecs, but anchored assets are harder to hide.

Look for systems, systems around Jita tend to work best, that have high cost indices without any of the associated facilities in NPC stations, and you'll have a pretty good idea that someone is running a POS there. If they're running enough jobs to drive up the cost index, they have lots of jobs running at once and likely won't just unanchor it. Even if they won't defend it themselves, they will very likely hire someone to do it.

This obviously gets tricky with well-defended POSes and one-player corps, but I trust your patience and...ingenuity....

Good hunting.

Never heard of them?
Would they need a teacher for all kind of things?

My spectrum is quite wide.

"EVE College" ?

"Hello!

SumCorp is a newly established corp based mostly out of Umokka. We're still small at the moment but we have big plans!

SumCorp offers:

* weekly mining ops with full Orca support
* weekly missioning ops up to Level 4 in Caldari and Amarr space
* regular pvp roams in low security space
* well connected to a large null-sec alliance

SumCorp protects its members from grief-players with its dedicated pvp wing. Sum1 is the man in charge of that wing.

You should know that we are about to make the big move to null-sec!

If the above sounds good to you apply now! Please no pirates, scammers or the like."

That's what you're looking for. Bonus: Sum1 actually has two (2) gank cata kills on BC doing a total of ten (10) damage with his T1 Acolytes.

That's really nice of you to do this, YMMW!

But honestly I can't decide if I should laugh or feel pity .......
.... now everyone will jump on them. :/

Thanks, I'll check 'em out! :)

Well connected to a large nullsec alliance.
Sheesh I heard that before!

MY FRIENDS ARE IN A BIG NULLSEC ALLIANCE THEY WILL CRUSH YOU etc etc.
At some point I realised that this must be true.
These people are simply carebears on highsec alts.
And no one gives a crap about them.

The point of wardecs is not to get good fights. It's to slaughter idiots who don't understand game mechanics or the game of alts meta, hopefully when they undock in their blingfit raven.

If you want good fights, try looking for newbie corps that have been decced and coming in on their side as an ally.

Groups that look like they have a strong sense of identity and long term goals. The more elaborate their website and the more social media they are represented on the more will to exist they will have. Expression of "anti-pirate" sentiment in their corp description is usually a good sign too.

Other than that just sit in osmon or look for mining ops.
