Aye, thanks but actually I was wondering why I can't claim to be someone else, you or Sol for example.

I read Carrie's link (thanks) but it still seems weird to me. That looks more like a case of abusing the Wiki (which is creative but yeah I guess not nice) with just a little bit of impersonation on the side.

Don't you think this is a good rule? I'm sure Mr. Chribba would think so! Names are reputations built for years. It makes a lot of sense to protect what I think is the biggest attraction of the game, a reputation.

We have alts in this game and how stupid that might be it was said in the thread by a CCP spokesman when they came up with this rule that you are forbidden to claim to be your main on your alt.So if i log in on an alt now and start a convo with you saying i am flakeys then technically i would be impersonating myself.

I hope you know that as per GM Grimmi's words this is NOT against EULA.

I don't mind a good scam, at all, but all bots should die in a fire.

Judging by the fact that the sentences they spam are long, and are repeated exactly (other than the name of the supposed winner) from a pool of several choices, it's quite apparent that they are using chat macros to generate the spam. CCP isn't doing anything to curb the spam even though they're botting to generate it, so I doubt they'll do anything if you petition "impersonation." Worth a try, but don't hold your breath.

They do get banned, but they just make new trial accounts and continue botting.
