When the ToS change came up back in 2013 I sidestepped my
own no-alts- rule and made a char called Solstice Project's Alt
to mock this stupidity.

Nothing happened.

The reason why it's not allowed to impersonate others simply
is because of the gigantic mess one can create with that.

The activity of "Making others look bad" ...
... can reach dimensions most people can't even comprehend.

All my chars are clearly and easily identifyable as me.
Am I now impersonating myself?

Alex this is a misconception. The GM said that you can't impersonate yourself because this statement makes no logical sense. If you quote just her first statement it incorrectly seems like CCP is forbidding impersonating yourself. CCP is actually saying that it is impossible to do so.

We have alts in this game and how stupid that might be it was said in the thread by a CCP spokesman when they came up with this rule that you are forbidden to claim to be your main on your alt.So if i log in on an alt now and start a convo with you saying i am flakeys then technically i would be impersonating myself.

Don't ask me why but it was mentioned by someone from CCP back then when someone asked about it.And no i am not going to dig into that thread looking for it , i remember that specific part because it was a giant mindfck for me Blink.

Offcourse it is CCP so generally the rules bend in any wich way the mood is of the guy handling your petition.

Aye, thanks but actually I was wondering why I can't claim to be someone else, you or Sol for example.

I read Carrie's link (thanks) but it still seems weird to me. That looks more like a case of abusing the Wiki (which is creative but yeah I guess not nice) with just a little bit of impersonation on the side.
