I miss mines, I came into the game right at the end of the mine days, and still have some mines in my assets that I'm just dying to use. Twisted

I miss old NPC drone (non)aggro that allowed me to afk farm L4 Extravaganzas while at work.

Edit: Oh, and the SOUL-CRUSHING LAG™! Lol

A couple years ago there were still bpcs floating around for mines so I am guessing some people still had some BPOs. For nostalgia. I haven't seen anything about them lately on contracts though. I was hoping to get a BPO if possible someday.

Someone in my bloodlines corp called shenanigans on me the other day when I was regaling them with the story of how before I ever played eve I would look through the old fan art/screen shots section of the old eve-o site. And found a screen shot of some guys pos where he built a sphere of warp bubbles around it and mined the crap out of the area. By the time I started playing mines were not a thing.

I guess, it wasn't safe back in the day to take your mining ship out to the mining field with-out scouting it out first, all they really had was warp to location and that would drop you 10km from 0 or something like that, and if you take your ship out there without scouting first, some times, POP your in a pod and there goes your ship, or so I've been told. On the other hand flying through high sec and you kill someone with your mines out in low sec and get Concord sounds like fun!

We still have torp kestrels, they are called Manticore. Although they used to use cruise instead of torp =). But now they use torp so now they are torp kestrels.
