Launcher won't open when connected to internet

The launcher will not open when i'm connected to the internet. It is running, as I can see it in the processes tab in task manager. I tried opening the launcher when i wasn't connected and it worked, except it needed to be restarted to play the game, which needed to be connected to the internet, which was the problem at the beginning. Anyone have this problem?

Sort of similar here. I get the launcher up and running and click "PLAY". the word "LAUNCHING" slides down on that yellow button, but then the game never actually launches, even though the .exe process is running.

Filed a ticket, but turning off my antivirus, reinstalling the launcher and restarting the comp did nothing.
