Meet-up Finland Assembly Summer 2015

This player organized event is open for all. This includes but is not limited to current and old players as well as those that are just interested about EVE.

We will fleet up at Assembly info desk on Friday 31.7. at 18:00, from where we will continue to some more suitable place. If you are late, check this forum thread.

If there is interest for another meetup during Assembly event, please state your interest in this forum thread. This way we know how many are interested and can make it happen.

I'll be at the shadow assembly getting wasted. Would be nice to share some eve comedy and drinks over there.

I should be near by enough to drop by, would be nice if the date and time was bit more specific. like on saturday 1pm and so on. all weekend long meets are more effective for already established meetings that get a lot of people to show up.

Granted. As everyone so far seems to be at "assyt" from beginning to end... you get to choose the date and time. Check you schedule, choose and report =)

I was just checking if someone had made event already. Thanks for this (and evemeet, where I found this thread). There is 2 corp mates on assyt too, so they probably come by too.

Could we schedule place with assembly staff? Would be cool to actually have small event where we could also inform interested new players?

ps. Chapter Six is recruiting (Finnish players only!)

I mailed assembly staff if there would be possible to get some location for this. Also asked if the event could be added to some schedule for those who doesn't find it here or are just interested about eve.

Got reply. No special location is available/possible, but Hesburger and Elisa Lounge were succested.

Also it is possible to get mention in schedule and maybe add in social media, if we design and make that add. Anyone willing to do small add/flyer/something like that?

Next thing to do, would be deciding some time and starting location. Location could be near info or something? I haven't been on assyt last year, so I don't know the floorplan of Messukeskus.


ps. we thought that we should request annouchment "dear eve player, your mom is wayting for you at the info desk" :)

I personally have plan to be there, at "assyt", and play eve. So for me any time goes. For me it kind of makes more sense to meet at Assyt (inside) rather than outside... still, as it seems that capsuleers are few... I am willing to adjust my "zone of comfort" to meet capsuleers, even if it takes me outside ;)

Assembly.org did retweet the initial announcement, IMO that is how we got attention of few.

My idea was that we should first meet inside assyt, but after 1-2 hours we could have after meetup outside.

I like the idea.. I'm not sure, but is "gate is green" other way around "gate is red, I repeat gate is red"?

Even though seeing This is EVE (which works better for this kind of case) from assyt screen would be amazing, it might be too much for the organizers. I can ask when we get the ad ready :)

time ideas:

Friday 24. starting somewhere between 17:00 - 19:00
Saturday 25. starting 16:00 or 17:00

After meetup would be 1 or 2 hours after? maybe 1? people can continue in or outside of the assembly if there is stuff to talk about etc.

Remember that this is next week and it would be good to choose the time as soon as possible.

We all here have been occupied with other aspects of life... so I am afraid that at least we do not have time to prepare anything for Assyt.
