Following the release of the new sov system, are there any plans to remove or otherwise change local intel as it currently stands in null, and are there plans to allow cloaked ships to be scanned down?

You know there are many people wanting to know from CCP the answers to those.

Q for Fozzie:

Do they have any goals for revamping capital and super-capital ships? Are there any plans that look promising yet? These are extremely valuable assets that have been steadily losing meaningful roles in New Eden for a few years now.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

Ask Fozzie some pointed questions please:

- Will the new SOV mechanics favour griefers that do not want the SOV?
- What happens when random roamers start a whole region of timers and then a huge third part(ies) comes to exploit those timers with mass deployment and making the defenders run everywhere trying to hold onto their space?
- What happens when defenders grow bored of trying to hold on and deploy from Low Sec and NPC Null holding onto moons and wiping out anyone that tries to "take their space" as Null then becomes a honey trap?
- How is waving a magic wand more satisfying than shooting a structure?
- Why not make a Middle Sec where alliances can really grow to then take over Null Sec space?
- Is he thinking from the perspective of a Pandemic Legion fanboy?

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

For supers this was already answered at Fanfest. They know that they are big and expensive but rapidly losing usefulness and they want to address it, but it will be after the sov dust settles when they can take a look at how they want them to fit into the overall landscape. From what they were saying it sounded like they were going to pretty much rebuild their core roles once they decide what direction they want to take them.

I didn't ask about a timeline, I asked if they had any goals for them or any ideas that were promising yet. Fanfest was a month ago, things change. Important questions that go unanswered deserve to be asked again.

I see. Well I imagine that as it was at fanfest, they won't be looking at any solid plans until after sov is out. I'd be very surprised if they had much more to say on it before then.

Yeah, I don't expect them to have concrete plans either. I just hope that keeping the question coming at them will keep it closer to the front of their minds than the back, and that they might have an idea or set of goals or limitations or something that might spark discussion.

Indeedy. It'll certainly be an interesting one when to do answer it. Will be interesting to see what way they want to go with it and whether or not they are able to make them worthwhile without being too powerful. In the same way I'm hoping they'll come out with plans for the rorqual before too long, as they've stated a couple of times now they'd like to give it a position in active play.

They're definitely not thinking like people who actually want to live in this kind of space lol. It does seem like they are missing the point about null (for many of us) with this faction warfare like system.

I'm a pve player. I pvp only to support my alliance and because only pvp that results in gains of space (or successful defenses of space, whether my own or our allies) is fun for me. I only occasionally participate in things like Blopsing, I rarely roam, and I haven't had a solo 1 v 1 kill since I was in Atlas when we removed Red alliance from C-J6MT lol.

Nowadays, null is hard to get good pve ships into, harder to change pve ships or fits and harder to get loot out of to a market where people will buy it because of the jump changes. With this new Sov system, the PVE "null farmer" type who plays in his alliance's "prime time" may be too busy defending against the coming hordes of Entosis toting cruisers and destroyer gangs. The PVe farmer who plays outside of his Alliance prime time will sometimes log on to find everything reinforced whole he was offline (because his group got stomped by a bigger "screw with you" group like "imperium" lol). In other words, null will probably be made unlivable to the very people (PVe players) who create the ecosystem null needs to survive (farmers are targets and content).

Personally, I've already adapted. I moved my 2 null PVE alts to high sec, one is semi-afking SOE lvl 4 missions in an auto target missile raven(making 45-60 mil per hour after converting LP to probes and probe launchers, just like using an AFKTAR only way safer), the other runs incursions (I run missions while my incursion alt sits on an automated out of game waitlist, I even get a horn to blow when I get a fleet invite lol, so slick).

The most ironic thing is that I make more isk per hour doing that (even calculating waitlist time) than farming anoms in null sec. You can all bet that after June lots of other null PVE players are going to wake up to this fact as well, and it will be a repeat of the PVE exodus from null that happened after this brilliant change as well.

Where did the idea for 'fozziesov' originate?

What were some other SOV ecosystems that were considered?

CCP has said they plan to monitor and adjust the SOV mechanics to make sure it is meeting their goals. Have they thought about initially having the SOV favoring the defensive strength of active system to begin with, instead of favoring marauders/reavers?

Could you ask him about that bug regarding shooting mobile jump units?

A mate of mine said he shot at one in highsec ...
... got unexpectedly fried by sentry turrets ...
... and the owner now has a KR on him.

It annoys me personally more than him, that he has to pay 50 Mill to shed it ...
... for doing something that shouldn't have triggered one ...

... and I'd like to know what the FozzMan has to say about that.

Thanks!
