It's of course a rhetoric question.

The reason for me is time. I rarely get more than 2 hours to play EVE now and since high sec can bite my ass that critically reduces the scope of things to do that I enjoy doing.

My fave issue is when I log in to realise local space is flooded with enemy pings so by the time I relocate or get a gang togetjer half my play time is gone.

Don't get me wrong I don't blame EVE for that. I am slowly adapting my playstyle to be more fluid and to be ok with 'slow' sessions where kills are hard to come by and those explo sites just don't give up the goodies.

How about you? Are you a vet not playing but not because you are bitter? Do you spend more time reading about eve because you have time to do that rather than play?

What would you like to see to help get content fit into sub 2 hours sessions?

Can't you use an alt to do something else? :/

Two hours can be long. Simply cruising around, watching local
can open up a lot of possibilities without even activating a module.

Opportunities are everywhere, they simply have to be taken!

You actually diagnosed your own problem. Inflexibility.

I use alts to increase my flexibility. I've got this one for running missions, another that I just recently finished training into a Machariel that runs incursions, another that I recently trained to sue a Purifiers for faction warfare missions, 2 for anom famring in null alternating with lvl 5 farming in low, 1 (my pvp main) in a null sec alliance for leet pvp (lol), yet another that has standings to run guristas or blood raider missions in npc null, and yet another that flys in "NPSI" styled groups like specter fleet or with Sir Squeebles or in an industrial with EVE radio when i just want some pvp.

4 accounts means 12 character slots means 12 oppurtunities for nightly fun, most nights all I can do is play 2 hours but thanks to the incredibly semi-afkable nature of much EVE pvp (I use a permatanked FoF missile Navy Raven to slowboat missions while i do other things) I'm never short of either fun or isk. 2.4 bil per month in PLEX (i pay for one account with cash) is nothing when you know how to work it lol

11 years, in the tail end of a 13th or something wind.

I'm chilling in wh, and find that most of the time i just idle. I have time to play, but.. am not. I think its cause my corp is low on numbers and i am not motivated to recruit, due to low numbers. Catch 22.

I do however feel a gust of wind coming, as alot of changes have me excited.

But as stated if things are that harry in yoru home system and you have limited time, i'd use an alt for the evening.

OMG Comet Mining idea!!! Comet Mining!

Join RvB. In the hour it took you to form up, we had 3 or more fleet fights.

A much better question is why the **** are you posting in the forums...gtfo.

Yawn,  I'm right as usual. The predictability kinda gets boring really.

If you are playing Eve in World of Tanks mode, RvB is the answer.

Edit: wow, I found an old militia KM where I am killed by you!

I am losing interest in dealing with the people in EVE and playing less as a result.

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

^ So much this ^

Destiny always seems decades away, but suddenly it's not decades away; it's right now. But maybe destiny is always right now, right here, right this very instant, maybe.

I know of a few old players in eve that do the same including myself these days. I do hope the new stuff coming will again spark the interest to /hardcore mode on like I have for the last several years but I refuse to get my hopes up so they can be dashed against that infallible iceberg known as CCP, other than this most of my time spent in game will be using Eve as a glorified expensive chat program.

As another said above alts are handy to do the things you enjoy.

And as yet another stated its dealing with people that bugs me to know end sometimes. Which is a universal human thing. Humans tend to suck imo. Twisted

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

The golden age of the Internet required some brains or social skills to even be online. Ugh

LOL you are so cute I liked your post. I also liked it for the level of multi faceted irony in your post that you probably didn't even realise existed before you hit that reply button while being so smug you were right in doing so.

Some good posts in here and cheers Sykaotic <3

DaReaper, good point. The new changes with Fozzie Sov look fun, I'm thinking those with small gang experience and the willingness to train others are going to have a damn good time soon ^^

Because a games forums are for players not non-players, i really dont see what is so hard to understand here. Do we really want 20 posts a day from people that don't even play the game, I don't think we do.

If the people you speak of are paying a sub, and if posting on a forum is all they want to do.....then what right do you have to tell them they cant do that. Your throwing the word "we" around like you speak for everyone. Your opinion doesnt count for everyones view on that. Mabey you dont quite understand your own logic it seems.

And SOON, we can narrow down posting ability to the CORRECT kinds of players. And nobody in this forum plays my way, so nobody is allowed to post in the forum until they become the CORRECT kind of player.

/addition: And it seems like the forums have been getting too calm lately, we need more activity from active or inactive players. If they can discuss EVE, then come on in.
