Rattler slowcatting?

So slowcats were nerfed fairly hard with the limit of 50 drones assigned to any 1 player. I was wondering if anyone has tried slowcatting with Rattlesnakes, where you could still get 25 Rattler pilots to assign 50 sentries to one player. They would presumably spider tank. Rattlers are the cheapest pirate BS so maybe it would be viable.

Thoughts?

After the assist nerf this has actually been done by afaik Tri, NC. and the Russians, they used Rattles, Tengus/Lokis as drone bunnys and Chimera triage support for repps

Fleet doctrines (don't u hate that term in the game??) make me sad...

It takes the individuality and uniqueness, and CHOICE out of the game.

Why not have structured fleets... A couple of carriers and dreads, supported buy a dozen BS complimented with a few dozen smaller ships of various classes.

Yes, you might not have maximum penetrability on the off chance that the fleet you run into is flying the exact fits that you want them to, but at the same time they can't prepare for you either.

The proper roles of ships are misused anyhow. a couple of carriers supporting battleships is pretty powerful. Add that to the smaller fast ships for tackle and such...

One can only imagine.

We submit to the ideas of really a dozen players and everyone just bends over... sad.

It used to be that fleets were themed instead of doctrine (e.g. sniper BS fleet, bring anything that can shoot to XXX km and tank a doomsday). People don't really do that anymore, mostly because we learned how to play the game better.
