Hi folks,
I'm a fairly new player to Eve Online, and trading is the career I have decided to take forward after making a few million profit in inter-region trading. I am in need of a bigger start-up capital to really get the business going for me. I suppose I would need a loan size of around 20-60 Million ISK to begin expanding my business. A start-up capital is not the only thing I'm interested in though - I would also appreciate a person who can help tutor me into being a more effective trader. To be completely honest I'm fairly new to how the loaning system works in Eve - so I'd appreciate somebody to drop an Eve mail to my inbox or convo me in game.

You can make that much ISK from courier missions or ratting really easily, and with cheap ship.

Just earn some money like Boris said.

Also training Salvaging skill to level 4, and fitting cheap T1 frigate with MWD, salvager and salvage rigs is good option. Search for player ship wrecks around lowsec and highec. Some T2 ship wrecks can drop you 100 million ISK worth of T2 salvage.

Run distribution missions for 2-3 weeks. You can fly an indy ship with very little training and they only cost about 500k for the first one usually.

You'll make a bunch of ISK, but more importantly you'll build a bunch of standings which are important (saves you money down the road as a trader).

The salvager idea works great too.

Usually posts requesting loans need a fair amount of detail/effort to convince others you can make money with the loan.

The tricky part is explaining how you'll make money without giving someone else the ability to do so in your stead. Usually this is where a trusted 3rd party comes forward and audits you confirming your plan is legit.

There is generally alot of butthurt because there is no way to reasonably enforce the loan. Collateral is a royal pain. Generally when you need money your unable to handover a large % of the loan to a third party and eve doesn't support foreclosure, that is there are very few ways for you to use things freely while allowing a third party the ability to collect when you fail to make payments.

With that out of the way, explain what you need 60m for and someone will probably dump it in your lap if its reasonable. Most people throw away more than that for a chance at a km with no expectation of profit.

Need some more information OP. At the bare minimum we need to know:

  1. What exactly is the money is going to be used for? [Kind of half answered this one]
  2. What interest rate are you offering?
  3. When is loan be paid back?
  4. Is any of the loan collateralized? [If so, how much?]

Are you an experienced trader? Would you be willing to act as this third party?

Yes to the first part and I wouldn't recommend using me as a third party. Ofc you might not need much of one if you keep the loan amount low. If you catch me online or evemail me I can answer questions quicker and critique your business plan.

Money sent as well.

Quite sad to see so much discuss to give someone 60M when you see hundred of billions filling very official and serious bonds which end in scam or appear to be Ponzi's schemes...

Seems M&D have much concern about low amount requests, better ask for billions if you wanna look trustworthy...
