Hmmm.

Vindi bears.

I need to head over to Nakugard...;)

Also.....work up them drone skills, nothing says love like Hammerhead 2's on a Gila..;)

Everything in EVE is a trap.

And if it isn't, it's your job to make it a trap...:)

Some of the best times I'd had in this game were losing ships while making bad decisions while doing something ill advised. I wouldn't worry about it :)

Every day I'm wafflin!

shouldnt be long, you can always post them yourself.

also, dont link them here. you need to goto the pirate story sticky at the top to do that.

i will say go ahead and update us when you post/api post those mails.

It varies from 5-25 minutes sometimes longer.

Ezwal has been pretty lax about KMs in C&P as long as they are not "made with inflammatory intent and are designed to promote trolling and flaming" he doesn't like it outside of C&P at all.

When I saw the New Order mentioned in the OP I had a sinking feeling that this was going to be just another thread about how awesome we are. Left pleasantly surprised.

Nicely done.

You're not too shabby of a writer either, I was avoiding your post due to most WOTs being not worth the time or more importantly the effort but once I found the time I was pleasantly surprised how well it flowed.

I enjoyed this read and frankly I'm impressed with the chutzpah you've shown good sir.
In the future I would recommend the Pirate Story Thread as this is exactly the kind of love that place needs so much... it's been kind of barren there lately.

Also, I'm pretty sure you can manually speed up zkill's results by posting the kills there directly either via CREST or using your API (not sure of which or if it's both there, but I know one of those buttons does something!)

Come hell or high water, this sick world will know I was here.

The pirate story thread has been so lackluster lately I wasn't sure anyone still read it.

Good read! A few notes:

1. Enyo would have done better with a Explosive resist rig, and if you had primaried the drones. Always have a overview for drones so you can switch to it and kill them.

2. That Fed Web cost 3 times more than his Procurer!

3. They may have someone out there passively ship scanning you, or it could just be coincidence he had warrior 2s. I don't believe in coincidence though.

I would generally plug the explosive hole on any armor ship but with the DCU and EANM I was getting about 40% explosive resist; when I lost an Enyo to this guy some days earlier he was using Hornets and hobs so I wanted to max out those resists. One thing I confirmed with that loss is that without a web, it is nearly impossible to eliminate drones at close range with a blaster boat, unless you have your own drones, which is why the Ishkur is popular for mission baiting.

It's just not possible to tank 200 DPS with near perfect application, in a frigate, while under dual webs, long enough to kill off 10 light drones. Or at least difficult to the point of not worth pursuing.

Random faction mods on cheaper ships is the product of a player community that spends alot of time stacking ISK and doesn't really know what to spend it on. Which is why the ship scanning doesn't seem likely. This guy fit up his barge specifically to kill suspects cruising around in frigates. I'm actually pretty sure he'd seen me poking around the ice in that system awhile back. So he had a basic idea, like alot of these guys, of how to approach the very specific problem of an annoying flashy frigate, but beyond that the lack of wider pvp knowledge and experience showed up quickly.

They knew I had docked up a Gila and they'd seen people swap out ships before so they were expecting me, and clearly planned to have the procurer web and point me while the propless, titanium brick tanked Ferox opened up with blasters. But they didn't understand the situational differences between long and short point and that there's no law saying I HAVE to fight you from a 500 meter orbit. If the barge had just fitted a scram, I'd have been screwed despite them not understanding how dangerous the Guristas ships currently are. Dual web + scram would have my ship do 40 m/s against 8-900 combined DPS from two ships I couldn't break quickly. But mistakes were made.

And the Vindi I suspect was just anger combined with "he's already damaged, surely my pimpfit faction battleship will automatically win." Alot of these guys you see mining all day have pvp ships, sometimes expensive ones, laying around that they rarely use and don't really understand. It creates an opportunity to do something besides trade a catalyst for a barge killmail.
