Question re farming soe lp

As above, my current game consists of farming soe lp at the moment i am sat 320k lp i was aiming to farm 1mil lp buy a nestor and sell it on the market for (todays best buy price 900+ mil isk). however i am not sure if i should switch and try and farm/find the drone nexus chips instead.
anyone care to offer some advice? :)

would i be better off farming lp or switching to farm/search for nexus chips was my question.

calculate how much money you would be making farming LP compared to chips, not a difficult concept yes?

ah perhaps i was vague, i am after more of a time scale for example farm lp is it quicker to farm lp or quicker to farm chips or are the chips as rare as rocking horse $hit when it comes to dropping?

you have to weigh luck vs consistency then. Missions will always give you LP no matter what. Sentient drones could drop nothing for days and then the next day give you 4 chips in a row.

Personally I'm more of a fan of consistency.

Going a different way on this.
If you are farming SoE LP to buy the Nestor to sell for ISK there is a better way to make the ISK directly from the missions themselves and it will be faster as well. Read this link as it will get you started on a relatively easy and quick way to make some serious ISK in missions.

I didn't know it was possible to trade 1m SoE LP for only 900m isk Shocked

personally I'd trade that 1m SoE LP for astero/stratios bpcs, build the ships, and sell them for 2-3billion profit, haven't calculated the isk/lp ratio on them in a while, but either way a lot better than that nestor idea.

well i was doing it the lazy way lp=nestor=sell nestor on market, but i will look into the way you have suggested

on the tangent of looking for the drone nexus chips, what ship would you use for this or more what method? would it better to use a combat/scanning ship and scan signatures fir drone sites or just use a combat ship and fly round looking for basic anoms?

Since drop chance is RNG based, nobody can tell you, what's the better choice here.
Why don't you just try it? Run drone sites for a couple of days and see how many nexus chips you can find.
You can always go back to missions.
