Since when can you send bookmarks via EvE mail? Shocked

I'm my own NPC alt.

So far the support ticket has remained unanswered. I'll leave it there but unless it gets fixed I think I'll just move on from EVE and they can just keep my money (well played) as I have no recourse (again well played).

Someone on 4chan posted they were giving away ISK, i went in game joined their corporation and received some minerals. I sold them and thought I was super lucky cause I suddenly had serious bank.

Well played.

You've asked for help and/or guidance to get this issue resolved. There is nothing we can do for you other than the suggestions made to just roll a new character and carry on (which you have seemed to have done?), and wait until you hear further on your support ticket. The ticket is completely within the realm of CCP and posting here to complain about that won't further it along.

Honestly, you're coming off as blaming those who have responded to you here, and that you're blaming CCP because you happened to take on RMT-linked, or stolen account, goods or ISK. If you are a victim then I'm confident that eventually it will get sorted out in your favour.

The lesson here is that you should never take on offers from people made out-of-game for in-game goods or ISK other than those sanctioned areas, such as on the relevant areas on this forum. The moment you're moving or receiving ISK or goods that are "controlled" outside of the game you risk getting involved in RMT.

If you want to walk away from a 6 month sub for a week-old character (that is now burnt anyway, no one will want dealings with that character) all I can say is "good game." Even CCP recommends you roll a new character (see the sticky thread in this forum section, "What should do when I spot RMT").

This.

You can't send items via evemail. Station trade or contract only.

AH... my mistake... thanks for catching that.

I had assumed since you can make bookmarks into items you can also send them via mail similar to overview setups. I just tested it an apparently you can't.

Herpity derp derp on my part.

I guess the only recourse is for the "burnt character" to drop the bookmark item somewhere in space where the new character can get it (before anyone else can).

Not sure what you need the safe spot for but corp book marks could help if you can get both toons into the same corp and at least one of them has roles to make corp BMs or you can have someone else make you one.

Make new character, create corp, create office somewhere cheap, have burnt alt join corp, have it drop assets into corp hangar, grab asset on new character. It's not difficult.

Also: Chances of someone new to an MMO using a "gold seller" to get a head start is probably a factor thousand higher than some random no one giving you isk. So no, your story is not going to hold, that is why you lost your isk.

Excellence is an attitude.

It's funny because I've personally given day old newbies money due to 4chan threads before.

I guess the thing to do is to make sure you actually have an in-game conversation with the person prior to throwing the cash at them.

First, they are probably not going to reverse the wallet; you got items worth ISK out of nothing, and they can't really track whether or not you paid or received real world money for it, so ultimately it's just your word, and CCP has heard enough excuses from RMT'ers that they're not going to believe you are innocent.

"Well, we can't prove for certain that it wasn't RMT," seems like a pretty poor standard that would provide limitless trolling opportunities for 4chan type folks willing to burn a little bit of money.
