[GMVA] DECLARATION OF OKKAMON BLOCKADE

Well, this isn't giving me a good impression of my "home team". Picking fights, being mean, using kill reports as badges of merit in a conversation. Just awful! You should be ashamed.

Maybe I should switch just sides and beg Miss Kim to take me as her student (or be admonished, either is fine). At least in her political fervor, she manages be modest and consistent with her ideals.

And according to her, all these shenenigans in Okkamon are amounting to nothing! I for one believe her!

Please do. Maybe if we had as many opponents in space as we do on the forum we'd be too busy for "grandstanding!"

You should have seen the party Soter hosted for GMVA pilots who attended the Yulai Conference. It was quite the hot ticket.

Interesting. I didn't realize that he could, ah, last long enough to...entertain...you all.

Oh, not just us. There were plenty of other capsuleers in attendance. Even a few CONCORD officers. Good drinkers them! To be honest, Soter wasn't quite able to keep up. He made a valiant effort though. I was a constant disappointment to the HildCo guys refusing to take shots of some awful herbal liquor they all seem to love.

Does Soter plan on jamming or otherwise intercepting all communications out of the blockaded system? My future supplier of Jackdaws are many regions away. Unless the hope is the Caldari have all the blueprints in one station and they can somehow magically contain that data, I don't see how this is going to effect production at all.

Best of luck, though. Hours after the blueprint is released to the public, shall I fly my own Jackdaw down to the blockaded system to see how it is going?

I do not exactly understand what their plan is here. Yes, Okkamon contains a CalMil assembly plant... but assembly plants are not research and prototyping facilities. There are only three testing facilities in Black Rise. If the ship was being researched and prototyped at all, it would be happening at one of these facilities. And even if it was being developed at one of these stations, we are all networked. If in the off chance that one of the facilities fell, we could easily upload the schematics and blueprints to any of our sister stations.

But what are the odds that a prototype T3 ship is being developed in the warzone? Not likely.

It's really more of a punitive operation than anything else. Easy concept. Not sure why y'all seem so mystified.

I'm told that the Gallente are experts in the sort of...prosthetics...necessary to carry on in spite of such a disability.

Nothing so mystifying for me here. I think it's probably just a difference as to what one could consider relevant and substantive. Myself, I think results will always speak for themselves thus requiring nothing further. I suppose the GMVA preference is one of verbose claims and intentions made in public when a simple, "We're pushing Okkamon because it's a STPRO home system and attacking it will hopefully provoke a response," Would have sufficed to ensure as Ms. Vero put it, "Opponents in space."

Gesakaarin-haani; when they started this push, Okkamon was standing at a dangerously-exposed 2%, and now is a slightly less-dangerously-exposed 0%. I can only assume that they're too busy with, well, who knows what to be bothered pushing Okkamon in the face of lily-livered, ineffectual resistance.

That said, I was in Yulai for that convention. Actually? That 'Black Death' they were pushing wasn't bad. I still didn't have the nerve to try that fermented fish, though.

Ugh.

Incompetence of gallentean pilots is really astonishing.
I came to system to kill some galletean occupants and defend civilians from gallentean atrocities, but most of the time there's not even a single frog passing by.

If there is a blockade of Okkamon, it is a blockade from gallenteans. Meanwhile I feel like I need to look me for different hunting ground, where gallenteans aren't that scaredy yet.

Why you'd talk about it before your blockade was in place? The only punitive aspect thus far has been the time wasted reading about it - is it a psyops campaign? Cunning!

Perhaps the REAL blow will fall where we least expect?

Obviously, this announcement was a move of tactical brilliance. By declaring an invasion of Okkamon, then immediately not invading Okkamon and attacking Reitsato instead, the GalFed have shown their mastery of misinformation and subterfuge!

Who could have foreseen such a stroke of genius?!

So how long has it taken the Gallente to realize the testing is in

UMOKKA

And has nothing to do with

OKKAMON

I look forward to the GMVA taking their blockade to Caldari High Sec.

And that about sums it up.

We really don't need an excuse to detain Gallente spies in Black Rise, we do that anyway.

See Soter, we have these things called COMPUTERS and we can use them to hold and even transmit data through a thing called a NETWORK. The Jackdaw has been in production for a while now. And while we of course resent your trespassing into our home, there is really no way you can stop us from developing new and interesting ways to kill trespassing Gallente.

We here in the Rise have gotten very good at it.

Are there still peoples who think gallenteans aren't just petty pirates and criminals?

Foiritan came with stupid excuses as well when Noir rammed his nyx. And Roden came with stupid excuses for his operation "Highlander".

They are just coming to kill civilians as always, while telling some ridiculous propaganda, and, as Ms. Vero noticed, to get some loot.

But don't worry, many and many Caldari pilots are ready to fight and die to protect colonists and peaceful entrepreneurs from gallentean menace!

What are ya'll even talking about with this implication we think Okkamon is directly involved in the Jackdaw development?

Although the development of a new weapons system was the impetus for our current deployment, Okkamon wasn't picked as a target because we thought it was in any way connected. It was picked because it is a base of operations for some of the few active State Protectorate aligned organizations still engaged in the warzone.

Operation Erinyes is, as I said earlier, and is clearly apparent by the description in Soter's OP, a punitive strike at Caldari State aligned military forces and economic infrastructure.

It is sunny outdoors today.

DECLARATION OF INTENT TO SIEGE RENS

Everyone read Soter's post as being connected. If it really is a non sequitur as you say then I don't know what to say. Get all mad and blockade a system in no way connected to the production of a class of ship that each of the big four announced a long time ago that they were working on? Do you realize how bizzare that seems to the world outside of GMVA? We were trying to give him the benefit of the doubt and assumed he was trying to interfere with Jackdaw production.

But if he is not trying to stop production, it looks like he is just making a pathetic excuse for spinning a wheel and picking a random system in space that is not his to **** with.
