was in jita just bought 2 plex for 35 usd, dude opened a trade window witha ton of isk in it, i put both plex i and acceptd and next thing i know its 800k isk offered...


i got 800k isk for 2 plexs and i have6 days of game time left with a 1m wallet.

prety sure im screwed, since i have no possible way of making that isk for a new plex in time

what hurt too is everyone in jita was bashing me ans laughing at me for it like im the bad guy..

You are the bad guy its people like you who keep the scammers around. If you would take the time to read contracts and not trade through the trade window, these scams would die. But no you let you greed get to you. And how did this guy know you had 2 plex? Odds are you where talking about it in local, way to keep secure.

If you needed the plex why did you even consider selling them in the first place? Also what does telling us you got scammed accomplish exactly? Don't advertise your an idiot and people won't treat you like one.

On the plus side you'll be harder to scam in the future.

AFAIK you can sell PLEX like items these days. So you can just put them on market.

best thing you can do is remove yourself from jita and never engage with anyone via private trades and convos in jita, infact close local when in jita, sorry for your loss you need to move on and learn from it, everyone is out to scam someone else

Won't get you your money back, but may help you avoid scams in the future.

As far as the attitude in Jita, it's the worst of the systems, worse than Barrens Chat if you're familiar with that. Also, one of the scams is pretending to be a newbie to get handouts, so that's partly why you may have been laughed at; nobody believes you're a newbie in Jita.

For PLEX or other valuable items, my recommendation would be to create a Caldari alt and move him/her to Jita to the 4-4 station where everything gets sold. That way, whenever you have PLEX or when CCP gives various gifts, you can claim them with the Jita alt and they'll be already in station ready to be sold off.

Don't use the manual trade window, as it is open to a scam where the other player can change the payout at the last second. Instead, read up on how to use the market interface and sell your PLEX or whatever on the market. You will have to pay the market taxes and fees, so you will need about 8-10 million ISK in your wallet before being able to sell the PLEX.

You can easily make that amount by doing the tutorial missions (to get some ships) and/or mining in the starter systems.
