So with the speculation of drone regions being changed to a bounty system and no longer dropping alloys.. id like to discuss the possibilities of mineral price increases.

If this happened all minerals prices would increase with a few skyrocketing. These being Zydrine,Megacyte, and Noxcium. Along with all other minerals.

Is this a chance for people to get rich buy buying minerals to stockpile and then sell high when the minerals increase?
Seems this would be a great time to invest in these minerals.

Also alittle info about changes http://www.evenews24.com/2011/12/01/jesters-trek-disappointment-has-a-name/

If by "CCP is talking about it" you mean that Soundwave said one "hmm that's an interesting idea I'll have to think about it", then yes.

Been a few threads from drone space "complaining" about alloy nerfs that came with Crucible.

Meg has been moving up a few months now, the time for that big gain has passed for the time being IMO. Zyd and Morphite are where its at in mins for the long term. Morph could be hurt by PI if T2 prices rise up, but it is too soon to know how much cap and PI changes will impact morph. All we can know for sure is that it is at a relative low.

Id say more than 50% of the zydrine in the market comes from drone regions.

I think it would be smart move to put bounties on drones.

It would make drone regions much more intresting, and Russian block might become under attack too. Right now it's 'worthless', but still if you farm it enough, you make a fortune. And what Russian bots are doing? Farming.

One vote for drone bounties.

If Drone alloys are removed it needs miners to step up. If Drone alloys are removed and significant action against botters happens at the same time then the mineral basket will skyrocket. Miners will win and everyone else will lose. Many players will switch to mining.

I suspect CCP will be reluctant to implement this. If Drake prices go from 30m to 60m most Eve players will be annoyed and some may cancel their subs.

If mineral prices were to go up enough that Drakes go from 30M to 60M, that would mean that mining income would also roughly double. Which would draw a lot more people to it as a way to make ISK.

(Based on hearsay, the major run up in Mex prices is due to the demands of the new tier3 battlecruiser construction.)

More pilots would be mining and that would increase mineral supply. New eden is full of untouched ore.
