What did they do to the Nightmare

This ship used to have an awesome shimmering effect on its hull, like oil on water. Now it looks flat and green-brown like literal ****. What the hell did ccp do and why dont i see anything when i google this subject?

PBR happened. tbh I haven't zoomed in on the hull in a while, maybe that is why the price is so low Lol

Most of the current skins are "placeholders" anyways. We should at some point, start seeing the skins updated for PBR. CCP has stated in the relevant dev-blog that are just implementing the new system and will flesh out the ugly as time goes by.


So if it's anything like the T3's we won't see any change until 2025.

Same thing happened with the Khanid ships. They used to be glossy black and are now dull black (though not as bad as the Sansha ships). This actually changed about 3 or 4 years ago with the first big change to ship skins but it may have gotten worse with the latest change.

I am actually surprised there wasn't more forum complaining about it because the Sansha and Khanid ships went from amazing to a bit meh.

Kind of curious if V++ changes that are coming will restore them to their former glory or if this was a desired change.

Serpentis, Angel Cartel... There is apparently an update coming in the V5++ rendering engine (I just saw a brief glimpse of the presentation at FanFest).

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.
