I dropped 2 Medium Warp bubbles on a really annoying Hi Sec static just try and keep out some of the day trippers. All was well. When i came back a few hours later, the static was gone and so were the bubbles. I was doing other things but one of us would have noticed any ships on Dscan that could have shot them. We were expecting the static to roll so when it did, would it have taken the bubbles with it?Question

Tweo medium bubbles doesn't cover a wormhole at all anyway, so I am glad you wasted your money. You learned a thing.

This bears further investigation though. Lucky thing I happened upon this thread as I am a consummate observer of the strangeness and vagaries ever-present in Bob's Garden. Witnessing and documenting all manner of happenings as his will warrants.

I know 2 med bubbles don't quite cover a static, but they do well to discourage explorers from coming in through Hi secs. Besides, it was all i had in the ship to use.

Now i've spoken to a player who states they had the same problem in null sec. Being if you drop the bubble about 6000m from the static, when the static despawns, it takes the bubble with it. I will have to sacrifice a bubble and watch this happen.

Will Update as I learn more.

You don't get a notification when people shoot the bubble as with 90% of the deployables.

Medium bubbles only take a few seconds to destroy, and you're really only discouraging fools from jumping into you. Someone actually looking for PVP will get excited that some carebear decided bubbles will protect them.

I always get excited when the null exit is bubbled.
