Is CCP really following the skynet feedback threads?

From following both the initial devblog thread, the patch notes, and the feedback thread it seems CCP is ignoring the popular opinion expressed on the forums.

- Initial feedback to skynet being removed was OK, nothing too huge, we were told we would get assist/guard, and all was well. Some awesome ideas were proposed in that threadnaught, that should still be considered by CCP for future patches.

-Patch notes initially indicated (until less than a day before the actual patch cough cough) that fighters would be brought onto par with the assist/guard AI of other drones. All is well.

-Feedback thread post update. Particularly CCP Turtlepower's last second YOINK of the changes to the message of " You are looking at an old version of the patch notes, we have also removed the Assist and Defend options. Capital ships will be re-balanced later this year, we will make them awesome again!".

Let's look at the track record of CCP, and proposed large scale changes. The rorqual for instance after the compression array changes. CCP told us over a year ago that it would be redone...Soon^TM is still in effect for the rorqual. The highest voted comment on Reddit is /u/Dominionix 's "We'll believe it when we see it.". Does that adequately express the hesitancy of the player base in trusting timely efforts to design and implement new functions here? The forums particularly the post update thread here have reacted similarly, with threats of unsubbing, riots, and general disbelief at the last possible second change.

Fighters are in a bad place now. They were OP as possible, with minimal risk under skynet. With assist they would have still been OP, but the risk profile of field a damage/tracking fit carrier is a new content generator. The lack of some sort of assign/assist/guard has likely hurt their usage severely (Can we have a nice graph?) and put them in an uncertain usage profile for PVE/PVP.

TLDR; CCP honeydicked us carrier pilots (Who put a crapton of SP behind fighters) into believing skynet would be replaced by a new solution, bait and switched us at the last second, and then gave us an uncertain future. The Eve community is skeptical of the promises made, and curious as to why the last possible second yoink. What are CCP's plan's ( or explanations as appropriate).

Ha old message, oh well..

1) yes they followed the thread and changed there original idea of not having fighters go to warp, and kept that.

2) just because alot of people think something is a good diea/bad idea doesn't mean it is. A lot of people thought it was a good idea to keep people seperate in the us, this ofc was a bad idea, but people still cling to it.

3) Just because ccp doesn;t do what you think they shoudl do doesn;t mean they are ignoring you.

Feed back is feed back. Much liek the CSM we just advise. CCP is the gods and dictators of this game and they can implement or do whatever they want. You have basicly no say. Once you understand this, then it gets easier. They hear the feed back, but you might think one way, and the numbers and data they have show something different. Thats the point. You don;t have all the information, and ccp can;t think of everything, this is why they need feed back. But feed back is not a command. Remember that.

OMG Comet Mining idea!!! Comet Mining!
