I think that AAR fit above is fine for solo work provided you can avoid neuting but in a small gang scenario you're going to be capped out instantly and probably quite high on the primary list if you're not. Rail fits are pretty disappointing compared to beam Confessors or LML Jackdaws so I have been working on a few blaster variants for small gang work, where the tackling duties are shared.

All in all, I think it looks like a fun ship and its range limitations shouldn't make it too OP. It's just how it is if you fly Gallente, generally.

The gank buffer fit isnt going to be a problem, high dps ships are ok. The problem are going to be the dual rep fit ones that nothing can break alone.

The dual rep fits run dry within a minute, minute and a half even with a cap booster running full bore and the MWD off. The local tank is ridiculously powerful but a big weakness is even a single light neut or nos will be enough to run you out in a handful of seconds.

If you have near-perfect fitting skills you can fit a T2 ACR, downgrade the guns to Ions and fit a Nos yourself though, so that might help with the cap issue.

e; it still has the massively glaring weakness in that it is the slowest unpropped T3D, probably the slowest sub-cruiser period.

Having 4meds and 4lows would make you to think harder than usual especially with such unusual bonuses.Roll

mm, at first glance I thought it was stupid OP, but a second glance is this ship is gonna have serious cap issues if used solo. CCP needs to buff the ship's cap buffer and recharge rate at least 25% above the other T3Ds and it needs a 2nd utility high slot for that all important additional nos.

Nah it needs a weakness, these ships are good enough. A weakness is needed and this ones weakness is clear to spot.

Still going to marry it and have its babies though Twisted

This ship looks like it flies like a souped up Catalyst. Is that accurate?

Agreed, otherwise it will be like 10mn svipul all over again.

It's dps gonna reach level of ENI or Brutix which is madness.

I am sad that the Hecate is not going to be a badass light/medium drone platform. I know everyone (myself included) bitches about how OP drones are but they are supposed to be Gallente's unique weapon system and I was hoping the Hecate would do something interesting in the drone department.

I really couldn't agree more. I just now found out, and died a little inside. I guess all I really want in life, is a Guardian-Vexor. Drones are my favorite aspect of this entire game, So i'm stuck in a sad place, I want control of as many drones as a carrier, in a little ship. I think i'll make a whole new thread about this.

As a gank boat, it's more cost-effective than a Brutix or a Talos.
