Is it somehow possible to use tags of opposing empires to increase faction standing with an opposing faction? For example, use gallente tags from missions to increase caldari faction standings? Or minmatar tags to increase amarr standing?

Otherwise what can I do with them aside from using them in loyalty stores?

NPCs buy tags and that is the best use for some tags, most of the ones in the LP stores players will pay more than NPC price.

That's about it for Empire Tags.

The only type of tags that will increase Faction Standing are Pirate Tags which are turned in to Agents at Data Centers.
