Crucible Scanning Problems?

No, not the filter issue, I got that...

This is for those of us who scan down drones...

PreCruicible, 5 Sisters Combat probes and I could find drones...

After Crucible, it's impossible to get more than a 92% lock on a drone!

I have even tried 7 Sisters Probes, using every formation.

I zoom in so close it's like a microscrope on my big screen so I know I am precise.

I have scan ship bonus, rig bonus, signal booster with script, Sisters Probes/launcher, and leet scanning skills.

Something has changed....for DRONES...anomolie filters, pffft, thats cool, but I want DRONES!

I read where the scan resolution was reduced from 940mm to 720mm....maybe that change screwed up drone scanning, or they tweeked drone signatures or something.

Give it a try, frustrating!

This hardly indicates that there are 'scanning problems' in this expansion. Please change your misleading thread title before we start telling you how bad of an explorer you are and that you should go back to missions.

If you are that bad at scanning perhaps you should just buy drones off the market instead.

This has been beat to death. The only change in scanning is the filters. Period.

just for ***** and grins try docking up and logging out
log back in and try the scan again.

back in my scanning days one of the constant bugs I ran into was probes suddenly not getting decent returns
I mean stupid anoms that you can find with a flashlight never scanning to 100 or the scans all doing the big red ball over and over.

logging would fix it and scans would work again, but once you have probes out for longer than 30 minutes it starts giving soft returns again.

I'm thinking its a 64bit issue, another problem I had was if you group scaled the resolution and hit scan, all the probes but the one you touched to control the group would revert back to their previous resolution. very intermittent behavior.

anyhow if you have 64bit give it a try, or just in general, it may help

That was for the Dramiel only:

Roger that, I was just thinking that in doing that reduction, they inadvertantly touched the Drone resolution coding as well.
