Hi guys.

So, over the years I've put out quite a bit of EVE writing, but its almost impossible to locate all of it unless you spend hours digging through my old posts. So here, I want to collect all the short stories and various things I've written into one place so anyone who wants to read them will have an opportunity. Feel free to ask questions.

Chronicles
So everything in this section is written in a format that is roughly designed to mirror a typical EVE Chronicle found on the official website.
The Masks We Wear, an exploration of what its like to be a capsuleer trying to get used to a new clone.
The Things We Bury, written for a contest originally, it tells the story of some salvagers and looters trying to make it big.
Almost Dead, tells the story of a man captured by the blood raiders. Warning, fairly visceral.
Until We Meet Again, is set 10,000 years in the future of New Eden, and was written for another contest. It presents an interesting vision of the far future.

Infodumps/Wiki Entries
Everything in this section was written from the perspective of a character writing about something inside the EVE universe.
Skarkon: Analysis of a Disaster, tells the story of the Skarkon system, from its original settlement up through modern times.
Origin is the page for J120442, my home system in wormhole space.
Government of Origin, hopefully self explanatory.
People of OriginMore stuff on Origin.
Saede Riordan, hey look its me.
Transhumanity Today, posts regular(ish) news updates from the Origin system. Lots of cool little lore titbits there, updates semi-regularly.
Fear and Loathing in Internet Spaceships acts as my personal character blog. Its totally public in character, its easier to just say that Saede keeps a public in character blog, then it is to assume people will respect OOC/IC divides. I update this semi-regularly there, lots of good information to be found.
Riordan-Nilanth Gravitational Resonance ImagerNew! Technology article.

Short Stories/Novellas
This section contains stories longer then chronicles, ones that tread upward in length towards the novella end of the spectrum. I've currently only one story that fits in this category, but in the future, who knows?
Dark Weather stands in at 20 pages in google documents, and tells the story of an expedition to a rogue planet outside the Origin system.

Not Eve
Trigger Warning: Not Eve
This section contains writing of mine that doesn't take place in the EVE universe.
Tales From AeriaNew! This is a public blog I keep where I post side-stories or bits of background lore from the world my novel takes place in. Its also the home of a serial fiction I'm writing called Fall of Oso.
Manifest DestinyNew! a rationalist horror story I wrote for a Reddit contest.

More things might be added to this later, so watch this space. Also comments appreciated. I hope you like my stories ^_^

Pretty cool. Even if you are a Minmatar Scum ;)

We are Toralen Industries. It doesn't matter if you fight for money, idealogies, or because it's what you are good at and it doesn't matter if you fight threw trade, combat, or diplomacy. No matter what or how you fight, there's a place for you.

Question: Would it be alright if I featured the Origin System in some upcoming Fan Fic of mine?

Dark Weather ..... outstanding work!

You have talent, the pace was excellent and you can not stop once you begin reading, well done indeed!

There's some good reading here Saede, I especially like the info dumps/wiki entries you've put together...

This little tidbit from your newsletter caught my eye...
Transhumanity Today wrote:
Stellar Anomaly Causing Mental Illness?

Reports of a newly discovered stellar anomaly in the Origin system have sparked debate among the cosmology and astronomy experts in Origin. The lively round of discussions first began upon the release of a series of solar weather reports from the near solar observatory at Icarus Station.

The report identifies a standing wave pattern detected within the stellar emissions that seems to contain information that has yet to be deciphered. While the nature of the information remains shrouded, its source within Isis has created a division and controversy among experts.

“Its clear that this signal is the result of some sort of intelligence.” Says cosmologist Mitsuo Halakan speaking from his lab in Foundation City, “The observed level of complexity within the standing wave is entirely inconsistent with natural processes. Its far too orderly and regular to be the result of a natural phenomena.”
I'm curious to see how this one turns out...

'Natural processes' as you/we (present day man) understands them; there is far more in the universe that we do not understand enough to call 'natural'. What if it were some form of ESP affecting the minds of the sufferers?
"The ability of the conscious mind to keep itself from being flooded by the unconcious is due to what analysts call "ego strength"

Also, what do you call your inhabitants anyway, "Originals" or "Originians"?

I've only read the chronicles so far, but this stuff is definitely gold.
Should have been added to CCP's chronicles list IMHO.
It would be brilliant if we could get player Chrons into the Evelopedia to add to the fiction (after an approvals process maybe).
This stuff would fit right in there.Smile

Maybe create a new source called Capsuleer Chronicles using Wikipedia where Capsuleer stories can be written and then read as well as containing Capsuleer Artwork.

Technically I could personally upload all the stories to evelopedia as play created lore. It just wouldn't have the CCP stamp of approval or be listed in the 'canon' chronicles lists. It is all pretty low impact stuff though, the chronicles at least. They're mostly about the people and don't deform the lore or push the boundaries of canon in any weird directions, so maybe CCP would allow it on those lists anyway? I imagine there'd have to be some approval process where anyone can get on it, or there would inevitably be accusations of favouritism.
