Probing with the new 3D map is extremely problematic. Currently the dot regularly disappears and also it's often shown in the wrong place compared to where it is on the old map. I have not yet successfully scanned down anything with the new 3D map when I can scan down things with the old map in a very short time.

Looks like the map needs another pass.

I absolutely love the 12 hour notice of fighter assist/guarding being removed.

What possible reason would inspire a fairly massive change like that, when thousands of fighters have already been moved around in preparation, to do a no notice nerf batting like that?

In response to the 14.3% decrease to the Bouncer Sentry Drone's optimal range, where is the increase in tracking for that re-defined optimal range?

Have run several missions and have noticed that the wrecks and loot are a lot less prevalent or even nonexistent. Has anyone else noticed this??? Is this yet another stealth nerf to high sec mission running?? Soooooo pissed if that's the case!!! Tanks fer nuttin you mudder......!!!!! I'd really like an explanation please!!!

Known bug. Those with loot, and player wrecks will spawn normally.

Not just POS field hugging. Even on grid there is no assist/guard mode as promised.

Falloff got increased, not tracking.

Hi guys,


  • updating the client itself was easy, flawless and straight forward (Mac client) Big smile
  • activating the download-all-feature works as expected Big smile
  • the new beta-starmap crashes Mac OS X in 9 of 10 cases (bug report filed, again) Ugh

  • probe scanning in the new beta-starmap works, but:

    1. it takes longer than the old map
    2. panning/rotating is less precise compared to the old map
    3. panning/rotating overshoots when the mousebutton is released (which makes it less precise)
    4. the red dots we had in the old map are now black icons .... on a black background .... erm P
    5. scan results are not persistent in the map, i.e. the black icons disappear after re-locating probes. they come back when clicking on the sig in the probe scanner window list


    I understand that the new beta-map is still beta but I thought it might be of help to give some feedback Blink

    If you read any of the big threads on it you will find very little support for skynet but a lot of people who didn't want to see fighters nerfed into oblivion - people with capitals don't tend to draw attention to themselves but there are plenty of people who use fighters completely unrelated to skynet and several solid suggestions for ways to make fighters ineffective in skynet type use and carriers less able to keep themselves safe without fighters having their balls cut off. Just because people are against the removal of these features doesn't mean they are involved in or want to protect skynet.

    Its a basic tenet of good game design that you don't wholesale remove a long standing feature pure due to exploit/unbalanced use in edge cases unless there is absolutely no other way to remedy it.

    Got an issue with my drones.

    Was out mining in a belt and some rats came in. released my five drones and they started off attacking the rats. Suddenly they disappear from my over view and move into a new section of the drone overview called "Drones in Deep Space." and i can't recover them, make them engage a target or see them in space. The "Drones in Deep Space" was visible before the drones disappeared and hasn't been seen since.

    Thanks for nerfing carriers and removing the delegate option. Please put that back or let carriers asist fighters while in triage CARRIER PILOTS WANT TO GET ON KILLS TO!

    lol thats hilarious if normal drones are warping after targets.

    Maybe not an un subbing issue, but there does need to be a solid explanation for why a core mechanic was ripped off of fighters a day before the patch, after it's been officially announced.

    You can still run separate client installs/binaries/settings. And each of those client instances only use about 500MB now instead of 10+GB. EDIT: plus of course whatever amount is used under your appdata cache per-client; usually 1 to 2GB each but that's not new or different.

    Yes, each of those clients will now be using the same resource cache. But there is absolutely no technical reason why this would ever cause lag or any kind of issues as a shared read-only cache. If anything, it should improve performance across all clients by improving disk cache hit rates.

    I'm not saying CCP hasn't done screwed this up somehow, but I haven't had any problem with 3 separate client installs reading shared resources and a true read-only cache would have no technical reason to cause problems under any relatively modern OS.
