come to my wormhole for mining. free drone show off and can deliver some bombs into your hull :D
in fact DO NOT bring two ships when theres only 1 pilot, someone will steal your mining ship or hauler.
i have done before stealing a proteus from wormhole , guy was mining with his another ship when he had empty proteus on field. i stole it when he was hauling his ore back to pos. . in highsec have hijacked approx 50 ships majority of them were barges/industrials and ventures once got free orca and few bc/bs (orca was returned to owner just warped it to anomaly site so he had to repair it after all )

just dont undock more ships than you need. you can leave unpiloted ships at highsec pos , but you can be wardecced by someone who wants ur ships. so best is to jetcan mine or launch largest freight container on belt , mine the roe and store to container then dock your mining ship, undock orca/freighter or any other hauler and take the ore

Just in case...

If you're thinking that you would fly your miner out to the belt, set it mining and then eject, dock up, switch ships, go for a coffee, come back half an hour later and fly out to empty a miner which has been happily filling itself then no, that won't work. If it did there would likely be a lot of people dumping retrievers in every belt in a system to mine away while they hauled - and sucking up the costs of the thefts.

Presuming that that isn't what you're thinking then the reason for the Retriever's large ore hold is to allow you to haul back to station in the ship you're mining from.

For kicks ang giggle once I ejected from my orca swapped to my mining ship and mined while keeping orca targeted and filling it up.

But I don't mine so have fun finding me doing this.

they need to get rid of that targeting crap, and why cant I board a ship just because someone is staring at it? let them watch me jump in it and light the engines

Thanks for all the info, I know I will not be slipping in and out of my ships, I will try to find a seemingly friendly helpful corp to join. I have just got back into EVE after a long time away, a lot has changed !!!.

Thanks for the info, was not really thinking that my other ship could be taken. stupid me, I just have never found a really good group to hook up with that were willing to teach me the best way to do EVE.

there are a number of corporations that help out newer players to get into the game. For example: EvE university, Brave Newbies Inc. Red vs Blue alliance, Karmafleet and a number of others.
