I know some of you may not consider me to be a wormhole resident, and I know I did not run on a primarily w-space platform during my CSM X campaign. I am by all accounts a newbie who has carved out a very narrow niche existence in Eve and self-promoted my way to F-list notoriety.

Regardless, I love wormhole space. It's where I log in and (safely) log out, it's where my corporation operates, and it's the sector of the universe I find most interesting and thrilling. I want nothing more than to ensure it remains a dynamic, brutal place where patient, inventive players can create lots of interesting content. I don't want to see it dumbed down in any way, and I want to ensure big changes (like the structure overhaul) provide a future that is fair and meaningful for all of you.

While I was planning to wait until CCP cleared my extensive criminal history before making this thread, some of you insisted I get the lines of communication out there early. And I need your feedback because, let's face it, my experiences in spooky space make up only a small fraction of the content and issues wormhole residents face.

If you have any concerns or requests you want me to bring to the CSM and/or CCP, please let me know. You can reach me here, or in game, or on pretty much every social media platform @WINGSPANTT.

And if you're in dire need of Caldari Navy torpedoes, I can arrange that, too.

You've just read another awesome post by Chance Ravinne, CEO of EVE's #1 torpedo delivery service. Watch our misadventures on my YouTube channel: WINGSPANTT

As an only-relatively-recent wh resident who loves the current w-space life, I appreciate you posting this.

I've aspired to live in w-space since shortly after I first started playing, so it's a sector of space near and dear to me.

My biggest concern is what impact the impending structure changes on the horizon will have on w-space. I think what most w-space dwellers would say is that we'd hate to lose the ability to "own" w-space by living in it as we currently do. Main thing that makes me uneasy about this is the proposals regarding POS-tier structures, which suggest that force fields will be a thing of the past, and that since these structures will not be tied to moons anymore, anybody could just up and anchor one easily in your hole.

Thanks again for asking for feedback. Not actually watched your show before, but I've heard of it, and I will now go do so. If you ever happen to find the system I live in, perhaps you can send some torps my way :P

Good to see you sticking your head out here :) and welcome to one of the most ... passionate, engaging and loud communities in eve (only surpassed by the die hard missile users). A free key point for you regarding structure:

- No docking (but mooring on XL structures is fine)

And get a chat with Corbexx, Asaya, James Argent, Chitsa and Two Step as soon as possible. They can give you some good experienced advice

Welcome to the lions den :-)

Its not required for you to take up the mantle of everything wormhole, but it is appreciated.

If I were you, I would focus on most of the things that affect you. I wouldn't worry too much about structures until more info has been released. Some people are concerned about losing the POS shields, but until we know how its going to function, we can't snap to judgement that it is bad or not. Mooring has been in question for a while, but from what I understand, mooring is more for capitals and supercaps, and subcaps will not be doing that. Again, no reason to put up a fight without actual info. The only real questionable item on the new pos revamp is the surveillance system and its "decloaking option they mentioned".

That would kill a lot of hunters out there as afk cloaking is not a issue in wspace (aka alot of your playstyle would be at risk).

Some basic wspace rules (the un-official avoid at all cost ideas).

Ignore people who say "there should be moon mining in wspace". Mostly trolls who want to turn wspace into null.

Also ignore anything that revolves around wormhole stabilization (there mostly if not all bad concepts, this include stargates in wspace, wormhole stabilizing deployable, etc).

In addition, no supercaps in wspace (its been suggested before, mostly trolls).

The only other item I would look at is making ore belts into both anomalies and signatures. Previously, you had to scan down a mining belt in wspace. It was changed so that you no longer had to (could just warp straight to it without probing). A lot of wspace people believe that the change hurt mining in wspace because of the lack of probing needed to kill a miner. Many people want it turned back into requiring scanning to find it. I'm of the opinion of doing the best of both worlds and doing both types of sites. Ore sites that require scanning down to find, and doing ore sites that are immediately warpable. Its believed that would address the mining fears.

Other than that, its been suggested that cyto gas clouds (drug gas clouds), show up in wspace. Concept isn't a bad one and would give a little extra gameplay to gas miners in wspace.

Other than that, the next major change in wspace will be the T3 rebalance. Be VERY careful because T3's function DRAMATICALLY different in wspace than they do in kspace.

We know you are kind of in a bit of limbo as to roles here, and there is no need for you to don the giant cloak of Womrhole Rep. I would pick a few small quality of life items in wormhole space and focus on them. There will be ALOT of things you have to do as a CSM, and alot of things you want to do as a CSM. You do have to pick and choose, and there are some focuses out there you are going to want to get at.

Regarding some of your marketing ideas. You should do some research into a character known as Mad Ani. He was a 24 hour eve online twitch streamer (yea not kidding on the 24 hour stream). His claim to fame was that he made a bid to get hired by CCP as a dedicated news twitch streamer for Eve. I'm not vouching for the person, but you can get some interesting feedback by looking at the thread as to what worked and what didn't. You might avoid some pitfalls with your concepts of getting some of the youtuber's into eve. Note that Ani's been sold since then.

Here's the thread. Alot of trolling but some relevant info. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=295038

This. They will be able to provide a lot of insight.

The other thing you might do, is get in touch with SSC, corbexx used their comms a lot to host WH townhalls for the community. Might be an idea for you to get on organising one of them so we can get you a list of roughly what we want to see and what you can do to help us more.

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

This ^^ I only made one of those, but it was a really great experience.

Even though you're new, we as a community are not. Just gotta get in touch with us.
And at least you can admit you're scrub, making it even more "incredible" you got onto CSM X

Good luck and try to not get burnt out on the whole CSM thing.

Phoenix Jones has most of the good points up already and don't be afraid of poking you head into here whenever about things.

Personally, all I expect of a WH CSM is for them to remind CCP at all times about the golden rule of W Space.

W-Space is W-Space, NOT K-Space

Ideas that make W Space more like K space will get pitchforks. As long as you keep reminding CCP of that, all should be good.

Do you have any plans to put a max anomaly cap per system for C6 space? Say like, 2? If so, I'll vote for you!
If there is an excess of anomalies we can send them off to shattered systems.

Selling WH CFC Standings 10b/month for +10 with: Lazerhawks, Hard Knocks, Overwatch This, Many Vacancies, Golden Showers, Friendly Probes, Isogen Memed.

I'm part of your core constituency, someone that explores and daytrips into wormholes for content. I'd be interested to know if you or any of the WH residents can improve this experience of both parties.

Issue has already been raised with CCP Affinity who said there is a automatic despawn on all anoms by default. Other people learn to do sites in chain and create more content for everyone around them even if they bring a destroyer/frig fleet ;)

Hello Mista Ravine!

I'm Shelby n' I'm curious to know what your stance is on wormhole fashion in YC 117.

At this point do you feel wormholers are positioned well to continue into the future as the most stylish and innovative fashionistas in New Eden, and how do you intend to go about influencing this direction in the future, helping ensure we retain the rights to our asthetic elitism?

Do you believe that the appearence of physically simuluted hair should remain in final portraits and not just be a defunk feature in the character creator, teasing us with a level of beauty we wormholers can only dream of retaining in the final, rendered portrait?

Also, Tengu, Proteus or Legion, Mr Ravine?

Also, what is your views on Jack Miton?

There should be Delayed Hair just like Delayed Local. You don't see it until the owner swishes it over their shoulder.
