Out of Pod Experience

I'd just like to throw my 2c in here and say that after taking an 8 year break from WoW, playing EVE (and a lot of other aggressive pvp games since like GW) has changed how I play WoW.

WoW questing is sparse, item farming a means to an end and I spend most of my time running either co-op or pvp. While it is true that WoW has definitely lost its way and is slowly dying I still enjoy hunting down other players in the open world and getting goodfights where I can.

Going back to WoW after so long does certainly open the eyes though about how bad it is at several fundamental levels. There's almost no reason to interact with new players whatsoever unless you're grooming them for raiding. I can't find a single motive for even talking to a level 5 as a level 80+ character.
