I am learning to fly a machariel. I purchased a rack of republic fleet 800 for the damage increase over the tech2 variant. however when equipped they actually do slightly less damage then the tech2. Would someone please enlighten me as to what I am misssing?

T2 guns benefit from the Large Autocannon Specialization skill, faction guns do not.
