If I got a quafe vexor for example (ship or BPC) from market or contracts will I be able to transform it to a license? Or does that only apply to the ones that actually got them from stores and kept them?

I think they've said if you have a BPC or a skinned ship then it will be transformed into a licence.

Yes. They confirmed at the keynote that as long as you have either the ship or BPC it can be converted to a license.

Look buhday, we all saw the thing too, so we all know as much as each other at this point. When the time comes, there will be a devblog, it will answer your questions, and we will have to answer threads like these alllllll over again, probably repeatedly.

Ok.. definitely repeatedly.

Until that time when CCP [insert name here] decides its time for us to have more info, lets put away our tickets to the panic train and wait, because until then, its all speculation.

Wait.. what am I saying?!?! This is General Discussion! Were all about speculation!

Proceed.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Well, it came directly from CCP Seagul during the keynote...

Yes it did. And we all heard the same thing, therefore we all have the exact same amount of information on the subject right now. When it comes closer to release time, there will be more info provided from the authoritative source, info that we don't have right now, and it will more than likely answer any and all questions.

Any information provided at this point that is above and beyond what we either have wriiten in the past SKINS devblog or CCP Seagull's spoken words during the keynote yesterday, would be purely speculation on our part. CCP will not be making any clarifying statements about the SKIN system at this point because until it comes closer to release, everything about the system is still not set in stone.

I guess at this point, both asking questions like these and making statements like mine are exercises in futility.

We are all at a different stupidity level. So some may may get it. Some may hear words but don't understand the meaning and some other may hear blablablabla*beer*blabla*bee*bla*bere*bla.

I count mysel to the last ones.

The problem as I see it is if a 50 run BPC is turned into one license, then it is a LOT better to build them ASAP!

... and as part of their 10 skin package deal you can get L$10 000 in Second Life or a whole new avatar complete with skin and hair. P

P.S. Yes, you have to have the skin to get the new license.

I'm sure they're taking this into consideration, as AUR is real $$ in many instances.

If I remember well from the key-notes stream anyone who purchased a skin and applied it on a ship will become a custom skin owner but only if they still own the custom skinned ship.

I'm fairly confident that as long as you don't get it blown up before skin licenses arrive, you should be fine. Personally I've bought one of each of the skins that I want, and will be keeping them safe in the hangar \o/

One day in the not so distant future I'll be ganking in Quafe Catalysts and Quafe Vexors \o/

CCP is only converting the Skined ships into SKINS.. They are not turning Rare Ships into nothing more than skins.
