You see, problem there is, it doesn't matter what he has to say. People no longer trust him because of his actions, therefore it will not matter what his PR reps think he should tell us.

Personally, I cant wait for his book. "How to ruin your rep in 3 easy steps - by Corbexx"

to all TWOHO people chiming in here, I can respect your want to support your mate but there is really only one person from your band of comrades that we want to hear from at this time.

In the end you ran on a wormhole platform and got a lot of votes because of that, knowing you were leaving and as some mentioned even had your name on a CFC ballot while other potential pure wormholes candidates did exist and perhaps deserved a shot without the CFC influence taking the cake.

Oh I am fairly certain (100% sure) some people in "TWOHO" (NoHome would be better, missed opportunity there) are incredibly pissed off with this move.

It's just you're fretting over the fact he's moving his main to Goons, when his alt will remain in a wormhole corp. Where does it matter where his main is if he's still representing our community...

It matters because your name and your associations are basically who you are in EVE. It is your identity literally and figuratively. Your name, your corp history influences how everyone who happens upon you reacts and treats you as an individual. If you're running for a representative spot over a very specific player base on a platform of I am Corbexx of one of the great wormhole corporations and I have your interests in mind because they are also my interests (one of us! one of us!) then that's all fine and dandy.

However if all of the sudden it becomes known on the day the results of said election are announced and you are selected by your peers that your face, your name, your EVE identity is going to be rapidly transitioning from a member of a great wormhole alliance, to an ex-member of a once great wormhole alliance that is (or shortly may be...) no longer existent in it's current iteration - you can see how that reality suddenly throws into question your dedication to the community who backed you not but a few days prior.

I think the primary issue here is just how this was handled. It's all very sneaky, slimy and deceitful. A flip flop of our primary representative out of WHS is going to leave a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths, regardless of whatever work he has done and will do in the future. The fact that this is fairly obvious and could have been reliably anticipated would lead me to believe it was considered and ignored, which makes the whole situation feel worse.

I propose that Corbexx's avatar be replaced with the following image:

I have harrassed my corp mates to vote for the CSM : "Come on guys, vote for Corbexx, Ariete and Chance Ravine ! They will represents us to the CSM !"

Less then 24h after the elections results, the main wormhole CSM defects to ... Goonswarm !!

Brave would have been ok. But ... COME ON !!! GOONSWARM ???

They will simply never vote again because they have been betrayed.

They will think : "Why should i bother to vote for a guy presenting himself as a wormholer if the guy could switch to nullsec a day after getting elected ?"

This is unbelievable.

In the summer of 2015 CCP completely remove standings from EVE.

Massive nullsec coalitions can no longer distinguish friend from foe.

Freshness ensues.

Just means Goons will know about upcoming changes in another part of Eve before others do.

Knowledge is power, and with the amount of Goon representatives on the CSM they are sitting well to maintain dominance.

The question is, "Would Corbexx have been elected if he had announced the change before the election?"

If it was in the works all along, it was an incredible **** move that has all the hallmarks of a Mittani masterstroke (pardon the pun). It was a brilliant ploy and Sion could barely contain the smug as he gloated, "4 CFC members on CSM X". They certainly rubbed it in by the way it was announced.

But now that it's done, it would do no good for WH space for Corbexx to resign. He risked an incredible amount of goodwill and trust, but we can only hope that he continues to be an effective advocate for WH space.

That's kinda the reason people are upset though. He should have announced it BEFORE the elections, not after. The fallout, whatever it may be, if it amounts to anything, is because he did this in a shady way rather than making his intentions clear right from the start. As stated, he'll probably still be an excellent CSM member that represents WH groups and interests well, but anyone could have told him that there'd be PR fallout from aligning himself with probably the most hated group in Eve.
