Minmatar scientists were able to create an invariant alloy of tritanium and other classified elements for their sabots and barrel liners by squeezing the untreated alloy under hundreds of thousands times typical atmospheric pressures, thus changing its chemical makeup and molecular alignment in such a way that it does not expand/contract when heated/cooled.
