So does this mean you will now get podded by drifters so they can extract your corpse?

I think we will have war of the clones soon. I wonder if there are second "me" somewhere...

Calm down. It's just the Borg. Concentrate alle weapons on one point on their ships and fire. Watch out for escaping sphears trying to change the past in the 2060s. You probably have to follow them into the space time anomaly.

So then what role do the Circadian Seekers play in all this?

As of now, they start to drop some stuff with a weird alien name on it, maybe even tied into baking that entosis link.

As for the Tyrannos, I believe that we have been looking in the wrong place.

There is that new wormhole exit thingy that lead into a place that looks like Thera but we cannot enter those. The question should not be where that leads to but 'when'?

But I don't want to get into temporal mechanics right now or I will be having a monologue for the rest of the conversation Sad

The 'Others' might be 'accended' Tyrannos that simply exist outside of phase in a realm beyond our limited human comprehension and they need the bodies to be in phase with our space-time, which would be the easiest explanation.

I wouldn't dismiss temporal displacement also but I should stop now or someone might get the idea I am cookoo..

Eve Minions is recruiting.

This is the law of ship progression!

First the sov changes which leave people wondering how they will use/deploy their capital ships. Some even wondering if they should sell or melt them down.

Fozzy refers people to the keynote when questioned about caps.

Seagull not only specifically addresses caps as desirable but necessary (sorry, paraphrasing)

Then the trailer...

So perhaps null sov is going to get an interesting shake up in which it's not just other corps that are a threat. What I'm also wondering is whether Empire space will also get a shake up... and what tears will ensue.

Just a few thoughts, based on the trailer:

* It appears that a New Powerbloc is entering "our" volume of New Eden.

* This group are substantially more powerful than existing (non-Jovian) ships (And it looks possible that they out-gun the Jovian ships, since the trailer implies that they have been able to carry out an offensive operation in Jove space)

* They appear to be "harvesting" bodies, for an unknown purpose (speculatively, for re-using for their own embodying purposes)

* Clearly, if they want bodies (& Things to Blow Up), they will do better in hi-sec space, where there are inhabited planets and stations, and the 4 "empires".

So, this development could well see the End of hi-sec and of faction warfare because ... well, why fight each other when there are fleets of ships killing everything they come across. More, since one of their frigates can Alpha a player BS, fighting them becomes a little redundant.

Capsuleers will have to flee to null-sec if they want to survive. Almost all production will become player-based and organisations like the Sisters will cease to exist, while the NPC pirate corps will be able to become stronger.

All of which, logically, would mean that only they (the NPC pirates) will be originating any new ship designs, and these will be kept only for themselves. So that ships we have are what we will be fighting the Sleepers/Drifters with, and the BP-Os we have are all that ever there will be now, with their being copied off for new users. The NPC corps will cease to exist, so all those players will need to join a player corp, and new players will need to start in lo-sec or null-sec or risk being blown away and used as biomass the instant they undock.

Mining, on the other hand, (since asteroid fields will presumably still exist in hi-sec) will become a high-risk activity, with some ore prices rising accordingly (and an entirely new face to Hulkageddon, since the gankers will be looking for Hulks, and staying away from the insta-kill enemies.

I wonder what part Jovians play in this. Was that explosion part of Others eliminating Jovians so that they could not help capsuleers or the empires in face of this new threat? Jove posses superior technology that could even the odds when it comes to fighting drifters, but their own numbers have been too low. Sharing technology with capsuleers and empires has happened before, but now there are no Jove around anymore to do that.

Are they all dead? Hiding? How about those three jove motherships, what is their fate? Was jove stargates going offline self defense measure or doing of Others?

So many questions...

Really hope this is the beginning of something huge. I think this Universe needs to be flipped on its head and shaken up, it would really put the lemon back in EVE.

WATCH THIS NOW
I see this and all I think to myself is, "Why is CCP not producing a TV series with someone?"
They are, it will just take "EVE:Forever" before we get to see the first episode. It was announced at 2013 fanfest.
Excellent.
I look forward to the increased number of players as a result.

However, the Drifters lend important clues to this: their "Corporation", the "Vigilant Tyrannos", along with their names (Apollo and Artemis Tyrannos) give a huge and interesting possibility to their origin.

The explanation for pirates not podding you is that they dont want a genocidal immortal maniac coming after them because they made you loose an implant. For sansha it doesn't make a huge amount of sense though since Kuvakei is pissed with capsuleers.

CCP - Building ant hills and magnifying glasses for fat kids -- I like this sentiment :: it sums EvE up -- there are fat kids being provided with ant hills and glasses, and then the bigger buffer kids come along and wreck the ant hills and take the glasses and break them. It's the sandbox game where you're re-enacting real life. Which is why having the Drifters come along and simply tear down all the fat kids' houses will reinvigorate the game. People will have to choose between abandoning 8 years' of development of carebear characters, and Manning Up and going head-to-head with the Goons and PLs of the universe.

Seekers scan gates for activity, fewer jumps -> use the Caroline Nuke on those systems.

Fewer systems - herd capsuleers.

Once the capsuleer density is high and well distributed, bring the Mother Space Meat Mincer for an all out body good good time ala Reapers.

Shoot capsuleers
Get bodies
????
Profit

Repeat (we're immortal, so they prolly think we wouldn't mind).

Until now, they do not attack unless provoked. I tried to attempt a communication with a Drifter battleship today. The pilot did not answer my call. I even dropped a frozen a corpse but no reaction (even if the corpse have been scanned by the seeker drone). Which means that they do not accept all kind of bodies.

I am thinking about a paranoïa they may have, affecting their action by being feared we trap them. In fact, if they do not attack, I think it is because they fear us more than we fear them.

Wait a minute and try to understand them : We have been able to destroy some of their ships, without having been aggressed by them. It is our expansion and violence pulsion which may lead to a war against with this new group.

I am suggesting a warp to Jovian space. 5 ly can be reached in around 28h. The only way to understand their links to Caroline's Star would be to join this place by ourselve and see if they have any activity there.
