Some specific actions will incur small penalty standings hit, but nothing to serious. However I do avoid those actions since I don't wanna damage my standings in any way. Just look for mission guides and check which ones give you standings hit.

Epic Arc Guide - Link to my guide, it's about 90% complete, it's good enough from start to end, it's missing some misc info, but for standings hits it should be relevant enough

Yeah, only a couple of the arcs incur a negative hit for ship kill. When compared to the amount of positive standing gained for completing the arcs, the negative hit is very small.

I usually edit and update the Epic Arc Mission Reports in Eve Survival whenever I run them in order to keep the info current.

I will say the http://eve.qsna.eu site looks pretty good, hopefully it's maintained and updated frequently.
