Win 8.1 Issue with Multiple EVE Clients

Hello, I can not find reference to this searching.

Win 8.1 fully Patched
I7 running @ 4.1 Ghz
16gb RAM
SSD System Drive
SSD Game drive
Nvidia 970 4gb
3 x 27" LCD

Very stout machine

I run many EVE Clients, and no, I do not use isboxer.

I run all clients from the same directory, and as many as 14 copies at times.
The machine handles it perfectly when I run from my W7 SSD, plenty of muscle and no Issues with EVE clients
When I switch to my W8.1 SSD (Same SSD Data drive for both OSes), there is an OS UI problem, or rather an EVE Window problem.
I run all clients in Window mode
50% or more of the time, the EVE clients will not allow me to bring other windows/ applications OR other EBE clients "to the front".

If I set an EVE client to less than a full screen window, I can watch things like a browser window I click on from the task bar, minimize and maximize behind the EVE window, but the EVE window will not allow it to come to the front as it should.

As I said, it works perfectly under windows 7 using the same EVE configs.

Am i missing a setting somewhere? or is this really an EVE compatibility issue or a W8.1 setting I am not familiar with?

Thanks!

I have found my own answer to this

I use Synergy, an electronic KVM application that allows me to use one keyboard/mouse across multiple computers/screens. I use 2 high end machines, with 6 27" Monitors, I run 1 to 14 clients on my main machine, and other things on the second machine so having a single keyboard/mouse for access to all is important to me.

One of the latest Microsoft Security updates causes compatibility issues with the "uiAccess linker option (typically used for UAC)" in Windows 8.1.

The related Microsoft patch is MS15-023

Removing the patch solves the issue but is not a fix, it just removes a security update that is in fact important, if you can believe it.

There is ongoing discussion at the Synergy DEV locations.

In the end, it is *not* an EVE client Issue! /cheer
