Corporation Shares??

So I've noticed when looking at the info for corporations they have a share listing, normally 1000. My question is where are these used....is there a corporation stock market, or is this a part of the game that's not used to much?

Any info or history on the subject would be great, I'm very curious about it.

you *can* use them for a "stock market" (see the MD forum for this). Mostly they're un-used(i.e. held by the CEO) because any director with at least 5% of the shares can run for CEO, effectively stealing the corp.

Corp CEOs can pay out dividends to shareholders. Pretty much no one does though so it's a rather useless feature.
