To arrange or settle by discussion and mutual agreement: this is the meaning of negotiate.

It doesn't say anywhere that belittling or name calling will help in the procedure.

All it does is show your immaturity. which you are right would be impossible to make an agrrement with someone so immature.

Also in real life, as in games, there is really no "set worth" of anything.

Anything is worth whatever someone will pay for it. They fact that you do not agree with it, does not mean that everything will fail.
