Not sure where to post this, but i cant imagine this is how it was intended.


So basicly i made a 213 km drone control range ship, drop sentries warp on grid to another bookmark within 213km.

Then i reconnect to drones, set them to assist, target paint the target within 213km of both the drones.. and nothing.. they sit idle. Note: loosing the drone while warping is not a smooth solution either.

I imagine this is never an issue when u fly with microwarp drive on arround the battlefield, but reconnecting after warping and then setting your drones to assist, should work right? I have to pick the sentries up and redeploy them to make it work.
Note: a micro jump drive does not loose the drone control and no need to reconnect to drones.

Any thoughts on this? As i see it, reconnecting to drones breaks sentry assist ability.
Is reconnecting to drones only intended as picking up your drones or also to re-engage in combat with all functions available?

i used multiple pilots for this offcourse, 1 pilot drones assisting the other pilot. Like a drone bunny.

just weird that warping off and reconnect screws with the entire assist mechanics.
