Pausing skill training from other characters

Would love to be able to start a skill plan training when there is another one on the account currently going.

Right now we have to do three things:
1. Open the character who is training
2. Pause that character's queue
3. Log in the character who should be training and start the queue

Any way we can get this without a log-out?

Nope.

I suspect the reason for this is also related to the reason why the DEV's can't create a "switch character" option either.

per CCP Karkur (in reference to character switching)

No. We would love to be able to do that, but that is not at all a "character selection screen" issue.
Once a connection has been made, both the server code and client code make a lot of assumptions that the characterID will not change, and it's very far from trivial to change that (otherwise we probably would have done that a long time ago)

Basically it's a legacy code issue. You can't remotely access characters until you "connect" with them and once you do so the client is "locked" into that character.

The DEV's have stated in a CSM discussion (some time ago) that it would take "5 programmers 6 months of work to save players 10 seconds."

However, there is a bright spot. It is understood that there is a team of DEVs working on the old legacy code... because in order to make any meaningful changes to POSs, SOV, and missions (the latter two work off the POS mechanics) in general they have untangle that mess.

In that case, maybe at the character selection screen, a button to stop a character's skill que.

Use the force without consent and the court wont acquit you even if you are a card carryin', robe wearin' Jedi.

Since you seemed to miss it:

You have accomplished neither from the selection screen.
